Anybody picking up madden ?

Had it, FIFA, Battlefield and Killzone pre-ordered. Will be cancelling the Madden and FIFA pre-order, Madden because I have current gen and can do the upgrade if Madden turns out to be an improvement over current gen. I played current gen Madden for 2 days and havent picked it up since and am fearful after seeing nothing out of them since the initial tech demo.

FIFA I am cancelling after seeing the latest off screen videos. Game does not look anything like the earlier tech demos and looks like a graphically cleaned up version of current gen, which still plays way too arcady.

Probably going to just roll over my pre-orders into Black Flag. After seeing the tech demos on the water and lighting that game just looks amazing. I usually find AC games repetetive after a couple hours so who knows how that one will play out but at least it will be pretty to look at.

All that may change when GTA V online releases next month. May make Next Gen expendable in which case I'll probably only pick up Battlefield on PS4 and alternate between the two.

I made the decision last Saturday not to Pre-Order Madden 14 for PS4. After seeing the video of the graphics in the game a couple of months ago, I was hooked. But now I'm just not buying that it's going to be much different than Current-Gen so I'm holding off until Madden 15. These were my Pre-Orders at Gamestop on Saturday:

Call of Duty: Ghosts
FIFA 14
Watch Dogs
The Order: 1886

If they'd re-release a copy of Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Dragon Age: Origins on PS4, I'd probably go ahead and sell my PS3 and games altogether. Those three games alone have me keeping the old system.

The lack of game upgrade program information for PS4 is beginning to become a bit concerning at this point. BF, AC and Watch Dogs all have well laid out upgrade plans but all the other games have been left out in this limbo with no official word on what is going on.

SONY has said its up to the developers to work with retailers and so far outside of Futureshop there has been no additional information. Gamestop has a well laid out plan for all 360 to X Box One games and the lack of a mirrored promotion for PS4 tells me there is some bickering going on as to who is going to cover the cost of the program. But not exactly sure why EA would cover BF and not Madden and FIFA, unless its because of the massive sale hit that Madden took this year.

Either way it would be nice to know since I havent played Madden since release week and the only reason I am keeping it is to upgrade for $10. If I knew now EA planned on shafting PS4 users then I could at least trade or sell it now for more value than 2 months from now.

All of them really. I have no interest in buying Live, but am probably the most interested to see if they are actually going to be able to put out something remotely playable. I have a feeling that it is going to be an unmitigated disaster.

Outside of launch, I am dying to get more of the UFC gameplay. MLB the Show will also be a treat next year some time when they start teasing information.

NBA Live14 since it will be new. I expect the rest to be similar to their current Gen offerings now, so not expecting much difference.

I'd say all of them too, from sidelines and the pro bowl in Madden, to the basketball games that I'm fairly ignorant of the mechanics in, looking forward to seeing how studios use the new hardware in games we're intimately familiar with.

I love working in the electronics department at Toys R Us because I get to inform the parents that come in clueless about systems they're being for their kids.

Toys R Us is pro Microsoft, and our Product Knowledge has us pushing selling the One harder. I just shake my head and do what is right. Most parents leave pre-ordering the PS4 if I'm working haha.

Easy. MLB 14: The Show

The Show is in my opinion, a gem among scuffed rubies in the current sports gaming world. It's got the best graphics, amazing immersion and the greatest group of sports developers out there right now. Seeing what they've done with The Show on PS3, I can't wait to see what they have in store for the PS4. Hopefully we'll see the introduction of Created Teams and Stadiums in the future.

It's gonna be awhile, but NHL. NHL13 was the best sports game I've played on current gen so I'm really curious to see how it's gonna look.

Are they redoing physics, graphics, and whatnot for PS4? All the clipping and whatnot that was the result of the engines they couldn't really focus on for current gen got a bit tired by now.

I think this year the focus will be more on expanding the stuff they couldn't due because they ran out of RAM. Full High-A teams, much more equipment choices, rather than a full engine rewrite. I feel that's too big a task for '14 maybe '15 if we're lucky.
