Same here, I've had the DRE on ps2 twice and power failure on the last ps2 I had. Got the ylod once on ps3, had to buy another ps3. I hope my luck is better this time around

Meh... electronics happen to have bad batches but what im saying is its not what theyre making it out to.

If it was we'd have been hearing about this long before today

Sony only lifted the NDA a few days ago. Mind you, this news came in on a weds night...its only thursday morning. that's pretty soon, 23. especially after the embargo has been lifted

plus they just recently received their retail ps4s..which are the ones having the problem.

you guys were going to go bare? you guys are risky. Sony allows you a year to add an extended warranty. Cost 60 bucks. if you are going through the squaretrade route, its more or less 55-56dollars(with a 30 pct discount). you have thirty days from purchase to add warranty. You get your money back if your console is unrepairable. I like that better. Had a computer insured with them. Old, but it broke, got FULL money for what I paid for minus the money i paid for the protection. Even though the comp was a few years ago and out of date, but it was insured. I took the money, bought a new computer and pocketed the rest.

If my ps4 cannot be repaired, I'd like 400 back esp if the price drops on the ps4 and my ps4 dies a few years from now

I'm really excited about this and I just want everything to go smoothly. There's some stuff going on with my family so I just need this distraction of getting sucked into a new system.

I'm just nervous something will go wrong.

i got my ps4 from amazon so i got the deal off amazon. for other orders, i apply the 30pct coupon from the newletters they usually sent me.

you're covered by manufactures warranty. if you attempt to file a claim in year one, they'll ask you to contact the manufacturer. after year one, then they take full effect

yes 30 days from the date of purchased(when you been billed)

Getting my ps4 tonight at midnight. Anything to do/not to do to avoid bricking it? Is it okay to download the day one update or can u play it without downloading it? Is the update part of the problem? Anything to keep this thing from bricking I'm all ears.
