Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
For me the only reason I picked up the PS4 instead of the Xbone is the 100 dollars cheaper. Personally I like the Xbone Launch line up better, controller better, Live better and games better but due to my finances I went with the PS4.
And as for the power concept, the PS3 was more powerful than the 360 and I sure as hell couldnt tell a difference on most title so that doesnt bother me.
Edit: Sorry 2 reasons, I wanted to get in the BF4 PS4 action as well.
Edit 2: Before anyone is critical of me saying how do I know the controller and Live is better on the next gen, I dont. I am going off my personal preferences from last gen. The 360 controller was my favorite controller of all time and I liked the speed of Live better than PSN however plus is nice. Everything I have read states that PSN is going to be massively improved so heres to hoping.Last edited by Candyman5; 11-12-2013, 10:09 PM.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Ok. Im all set. The only thing missing is the PS4 (and maybe some visine and extra contact lens solution bc I know my eyes will be red and dry ):
Now I know you are probably saying this:
But, with my Son being off for Thanksgiving break really soon and me having a few PTO days lined up, im sure that the games won't be wasted and wont be collecting dust.Last edited by ckarlic; 11-12-2013, 10:15 PM.PSN: ckarlic

This gen had lots of p2p connected games.
The biggest thing ms ever pulled off was convincing people they were paying for dedicated servers. When really all xbl was a paygate to use your own internet connection to host games. And people fell for it, hook line and sinker.
Now, we have to live with this model.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
psn wasn't that bad to begin with. Yeah, maybe at first in 2007 it wasn't up to par but in 2013, they are the same. The only difference between xbl and psn on CG is that live is a paygate. To my knowledge, cod doesn't have dedicated servers. They used p2p just like the ps3 version. I find it appalling that these companies are making us pay to use our own internet connection, but if they truly use dedicated servers and its much more stable, I have no problem with that.

This gen, with most everything being "the same" architecture wise, I think we'll see the ps4 display quite often that it is the more powerful machine. It already is for launch titles - not that it really means a whole lot to the general consumer.
I fully expect you to grab an XBone down the line though... Probably around the time Halo drops. I was a bit surprised you choose the ps4, to be honest.badComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Download speeds for me was my problem with PSN before. Its not just me that had problems with them either. Like I said I just preferred Live. Not saying PSN was horrible in general but for me the download speeds is what kept me away for so long beside the controller since I hated the DS3. (I used my 360 controller on my PS3)
I never had issues with speed but I'm sure that can vary and your part holds true. I just find it odd when people said Playing COD or a game without dedicated servers was better on xbl. I've played it on both, and its the exact same thing. If the host has a bad connection, you have a bad connection lol#dairyfreeComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
The 360 came out a year in advance and had people accustomed to it already. The ps3 had that terrible architecture where only first party developers got to truly learn how to develop around it.

Plus after reading about how much more of a upgrade the DS4 is over the DS3 got me pretty exited (Still hate stick layout but that was just a tiny complaint compared to my others about the DS3)
Between Forza 5, Dead Rising 3 and Killzone both consoles games will look nice. IMO you couldnt go wrong with either of them. Im just happy I am getting a Next Gen console at release. Its actually my first launch console I have ever gotten.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os
