Traded in a game with the 30% added discount and got this to add to my collection.

The guy asked me if I was sure I didn't want to get nba live instead and I laughed out loud in his face and told him no.

Nobody was in the store so it was a 3 minute in and out stress free purchase.

Paid 130 today for 4 games. ...im a boss for one day lol

I'll be getting my PS4 in December as a birthday present. I figured since this is a big gift it would be the only thing I was going to get, but my dad just told me he bought me NBA 2k14 so I would have something to play. The problem is, I just bought 2k14 myself, and my dad just wasn't aware. Do you guys think someone would be willing to trade Madden for my 2k14 when the time comes?

Cheaper , stronger hardware especially down the road , i feel more people will be on PSN then Xbox this time around

1. Mostly PS3 gamer last gen.
2. Better exclusives imo, but this is subjective based on tastes.
3. MSFT's flip flopping on policies.
4. PS+
5. $100 Cheaper is a huge factor.

Can't unfortunately didn't get it from a major distributor got it a day early with no extra tax... It's a one stop shop store in Chicago sells games, phones, and clothes usually love it but now I hate it lol

1) Sony exclusives blow MS exclusives out of the water, unless all you play are FPS games.
2) It's the stronger system, in terms of what it can do. That's not saying the XBone is bad, the PS4 is just stronger.
3) It doesn't use a silly memory band-aid. Again, this doesn't really matter to a whole lot of people.
4) If the group of people one plays with is going one system, it only makes sense to go that way.
5) It's cheaper.
6) People don't care about the TV and other features on their gaming machine. People don't feel like a Kinect is worth their money.

There are reasons to get both systems, but those are normally what I see when people talking about grabbing the PS4 over XBone.

There are some games with little trade value Though. Such as annual titles and sport games. You're lucky to even get 6 dollars for a sports game, if you're not trading it almost immediately after release

I honestly just feel like it is a better console. Other than Titanfall I don't feel like I am missing anything at all.

For me it's simple.
Last time Microsoft released a new system it lasted 2 months before the damn thing quit on me. I ended up going thru 4 different systems before I finally traded the last one in on a ps3.
The ring of death was the death of the xbox for me.
That and mlb the show is the best damn sports game period!

100.00 difference (Could care less about the Kinect or multimedia stuff in my gaming machine)
And really MS's vision of where they seem to want to take the gaming industry.
Yeah they backed down in the end but they simply lost any trust I had in them.
Everything they wanted to do was a slap to gamers IMO.

As we discussed, I can confirm that we are currently working on the cancellation of the orders for the PlayStation 4: Launch Edition. I have contacted the appropriate team to check for the reinstatement of your order.*

This is from the last email following another call from amazon. After finally talking to a supervisor, it seems as if there is a problem within the system. I was told that since there is such a huge number of pre orders that the system may have glitched and caneled the order. Basically, their system couldnt handle all of the pre orders.


Come to find out, one of the reps I talked to sent my issue to the shipping department.Thats one reason why no progress has been made. Another reason is because my complaint was not brought to the attention of a supervisor yet.

He did promise to call me personally tomorrow between 7 and 9 pm. He also stated they have had a team working on getting everyone their pre order back. The rep who connected me offered me a 100 dollar promotional certificate if I just waited for them to become available. The thing is I dont have any clue when the will have more. If any one has any idea, please share. If they take half off they may just half a deal.

Tomorrow is the last day im waiting on amazon to give it back. After that i may just take the 100 dollar promotional certificate and put it towards a flat screen and see what other options I have. I did stop buy gamestop and see what the chances are of me coming thursday to get one not pre ordered. The guy told me that I might would have to camp at the store all day. A lady already called about camping out at about 9 am that morning. Thats a no go for me. I might just be sol if amazon cant give it back.

Wow. You would think a company like Amazon would have been prepared. I am not surprised it is a glitch, there is no way the cancellation was policy.

Speaking from a consumer standpoint in no particular order:

1) People are nervous over the QA issues that plagued the 360 with the RROD. I know
people that took immaculate care of their systems and didn't even play more than the
normal person and went through 4+ systems.

2 )Xbox and Sony were both going to require the internet to always be on to play your
games and that bothered people. Sony backtracked quickly on that idea when they
say the backlash MSFT was getting. Also the idea of not being able to borrow / swap
titles bothered a lot of people and it took a while for MSFT to backtrack on that idea as
well. MSFT did a horrible job from a PR perspective in handling all of those issues and
it scared people away.

3) Price point. At this point, the Kinect and the Eye are a gimmick accessory and it will be
a while before developers can really implement these tools for games in a way that will
be seen as an advantage, and not as just a toy. PS4 is giving the consumer the option
to buy the Eye, versus being forced into the Kinect for an additional $100. Most of the
developers I know dislike having to come up with Kinect / Eye integration as it is, and
most of us don't use it at all anyways.

From a development perspective:

1) Its a more powerful system that's set up in a way that's much easier to program for.
In laymans terms, think of throwing all your toys in a toy chest, versus having to place
them in all neatly just to get them to fit. With Ps4 it will be much easier to do what we
want, versus MSFTs system that you will need to be very careful how you program for
it to get it all to work right.


From my personal perspective:

I hope both systems come out blazing and both succeed. Right now the marketshare is
right down the line at 80m for MSFT and 80m for Sony. This is outstanding from a
consumer / developer perspective. I think we have seen what a lack of competition in
the marketplace can lead to, so them both being strong is in everyones best interest.

PS. I own both systems and wouldn't have it any other way.
