Anybody that has installed the update via usb flash drive have any issues yet?

None for me. There were a couple things that I held my breath for but it wasn't frozen for more than a few mins here and there working on the update. I was just being paranoid.

I was 30% done installing 2k and in the middle of the 1st quarter of a quick game. My PS4 restarts and it's pulsating an orange light....

I'm definitely just going to do a clean install off my flash drive

I remember reading the Amazon section and supposedly Amazon was supposed to send us codes or something, but I don't remember receiving an e-mail this morning for that.

Same here about the supposed email. Only email I received from amazon was $30 of the Kindle fire kr whatever.

I wish I could go to a retail store now and preorder an XB1. My PS4 has been "out for delivery" since 4:33 am this morning. Still waiting on the damn UPS truck. Waiting is in fact the hardest part.

Having said that, what is this I'm hearing about issues with the update and systems bricking? Been avoiding this thread all day.

I love the PS4 controller! It's a huge improvement over last gen's controller. It felt great in both BF4 and Ghosts.

I haven't gotten my shipment yet, but I did get the email for the promo code for 1 year of PS Plus. Do I get this in addition to the one year that comes with my bundle or is this just the code to activate what I paid for in my bundle?

If you download the update from the internet, you may have to delete the automatic download that starts right when you boot up and then re-download from the actual system update page

As for the issues, apparently the firmware update is causing lag and slowdown in some games for some people. I have yet to experience this....
