My phone found my app straight away. Not sure if it's because they are both on the same wifi or what. Had no issues with it at all.

My PSN is nthubernoob if you wanna shoot me a request. I only look at the console once every 30-60 minutes right now since I'm downloading/installing NBA 2K14 and 50 GB takes plenty long. Only at around 55% still :S

They're on the same network. Scans and nothing. No biggie for now, but I'd like to use the keyboard functionality soon.

Depends on what you want. Some, like me, have no interest in the media stuff with our gaming consoles.
I'm sure it will be a nice system but I won't budge until they drop price.

Well I expected more backlash from my comment. Nice to see you defending Sony for once, Hustlin.

I have no allegiance here nor there, just calling it like I see it. One additional, major feature to me is worth discussing like adults. Of course you can't play a Sony exclusive but that works both ways. I expect to get less for the price but add in the camera and you're right up there when comparing.

But Sky is right - if you're just looking for prettier games and some slick new features, go for it. Hate that I can't do everything the PS3 could but I knew that going in. System itself feels like it should offer more media integration.

I can't seem to find a way to edit the clips that are recorded. Anyone know if this is possible?

Thought people who are looking for objective opinions would like to read, so I'll continue to share. I'll be around on PSN either way, playing 2k14.

Got a few games of BF4 in last night, great stuff as I've never played that series. AC4 is really fun and looks amazing. 2k14 has dominated my playing time so far especially when we had like 4 people rotating in on the sticks last night. Every game in 2K is just awesome win or lose, heck even just watching my friends play seemed like a real NBA game except I cared more who won

So glad I invested in a Vita. The streaming is fantastic with zero lag. ACIV and Battlefield are wonderful on the handheld device

day 1 impressions:

-Initial boot worked great. No issues. I had the update on a usb but tried it over PSN and it worked fine, completed within a couple min.

-game installs were slightly confusing as to when you could play (and what was limited while the install/download were completing.)

-party worked well. was able to play resogun and invite a friend.

-battlefield...couldnt get in a game with my party. was frustrating. id join a game, go to battlelog and invite him, and the software would lock up and id have to quit it. he would try to join my game, and server would always be full. when we checked the server list...all said 0 players. we joined in one, but nobody else ever came after about 15 min. Anyone have any luck playing with a friend?????

I played online myself and it was pretty fun, though when trees get knocked down i cant jump over them, its like they get stuck on me and pushed around while i run.

-netflix...has a padlock on the icon, when i select it says the account needs to have credentials to use or whatever. I for the life of me cannot figure out where to add those at. Anyone know how to do this? Amazon video worked fine though.

-deleting pictures/videos...was pretty easy to find in the settings menu.

-2k14 was great, fifa was a good step up from current gen, madden was ok. Still have yet to open knack, ac4, and killzone.

-sometimes when exiting a game with the ps button, it would be frozen when i went back into the game. but i think it was because i did something in the menus that would require the software to close (and didnt give me a prompt to do so, which is where i think the "error" is.) not too worried though i think the suspend feature being patched in will fix it.

I didn't preorder this so I'm kind of waiting till it's in stock around my house. I did get to play 2k at a friend's house and it was just absolutely gorgeous

welp I'm ****ed out of 50 bucks....I signed up for PS plus last night and when I logged on this morning it shows that I have to join PS plus to play online......wtf.....

going to try and sign in and out again but man....

Silly question, but did you reboot? I had the same thkng after signing up for the trial. A reboot fixed it. GL, hopefully its something simple.

Any of you guys experience this?

Very smooth launch for the PS4, for me. Was able to play a couple games of Madden online, some BF4 campaign and a few rounds of BF4 multiplayer. Overall I'm pressed with everything. Madden graphics could be better, sure. But everything looks and feels smooth. Graphics will only get better from here, so it's going to be a good generation.

Yep agree. My setup was flawless and everything (knock on wood) has been great. Party chat was crystal clear and played some NBA online and it was very smooth also.
Madden will hopefully get visually better each year but it plays a fun game of football.

Not to dismiss any of the people who've had bad launch experiences but add me to this list as well.

I posted my initial experience many pages back so I'll just save the typing and quote myself...

The PS4 is just so clean & simple, so damn easy to connect everything and set it up.

HDMI connected to my 55" like a champ, no problems at all.

Power cord is simple enough, love not having a monster brick any longer after years dealing with the 360's massive one.

Update to 1.50 (I think) was smooth as butter and downloaded in about a minute tops.

Added the PS Plus 30 day free to my account with no problems.

Added the free $10 to my account with no problems as well (up to $24 now woo hoo!).

Now I'm just deciding on what free games to DL, Warframe, Blacklight Retribution, DCUO (for sure because I have two maxed out characters).

25% so far on the 2K14 install...

Love this damn PS4, sent out a few friend request by looking at all the OSers I already had on my list from PS3 and looking at their friends lists (some of you have this set to private! Grrrr!).

I will add that I'm going out this morning to find me a headset of some type because the one the PS4 shipped with, well, I just can't deal...

I'm also going to probably pick up FIFA and a shooter.

What is the consensus here as far as most of us OSers playing in regards to a shooter?

I was thinking either BF4 or Killzone (kinda leaning towards BF4).

My PS4 from Amazon has worked flawless so far but I have seen the reviews. Almost half the reviews on Amazon are bad.

You have to keep in mind, most of the people with "good" systems are too busy playing them. Of course the vast majority will be negative. That is their "outlet" so to speak.
