Found a solution to fix the lost connection to server if you're trying to stream on twitch.

Log on to twitch.tv, click your account name on the top right and go to dashboard. Select the "stream key" tab, show key, and reset it.

Anyone happen to have a list of what headsets (if any) are out right now that work with PS4?

It's OK even if they are something cheesy that connects right to the controller.

Not sure what headsets are working. I did get my Astro 50s to work after downloading the new Astro firmware from their site.

Scratch that, it's the brick PS4 problem where it won't even turn on or off.

Every good thing I had to say about Sony is out the window now that I know they're shipping consoles that just flat out don't work. That's ridiculous. Don't know how mine worked so well, and my brother's just won't work.

It's definitely a concern to be worried about. My ps4 almost bricked on me. I was lucky to get sony on the phone and fix the problem, but I really don't feel too confident using it too much right now. There's no doubt that all this has killed the sony hype a bit. I just hope they can figure it out soon so people can finally game on their consoles with no problems.

Yeah. I didnt want to go SSD because I was more concerned about space but I decided to go with a HD/SSD hybrid. I installed the Hardrive without issues last night and so far so good. After installing the 1TB HDD/SSD hybrid I ended up starting out with ~850GB of usable space. I was also nervous as hell installing it since my PS4 was working fine and would have kicked myself in the a$$ if it didnt work. I just followed the steps on gamspot and on sony's site and everything went smoothly.

I have to say I have been really pleased with the PS4 launch. This is the first time I have ever had a console before at least 2 years into the cycle. The graphics on 2k are amazing and it is easily one of my most played games so far. Some games however seem to be either exact ports or minor upgrades (madden and COD) which is pretty disappointing. Another game that has amazed me is Fifa, was not expecting that game to be that much better.

A few things that annoy me however is the fact that I can not que up my downloads and let one game download at a time. If there are multiple in my que they all download. So when I had BF4, COD, 2k, Madden, Fifa, and a couple indie games on the slate it was attempting to download 4 of them at a time. I would have been able to at least play one of them fairly quickly if it was not for splitting my download speed among 4 of them. Another thing that bugs me is this whole "play as you download" feature. Though yes it is cool I get to play essentially a demo after say 4 GB of download, however it is a pain that I can not check the download % or time remaining of the game until I boot up the game. The entire download system needs to be tweaked a little but it is very minor.

I am however looking for some more people to play some of these games with as most of the people I use to play with are still on the PS3. If anybody would like to get a few games of nearly anything in feel free to add me on PSN: Alemic92

No problems with my PS4 so far, but it was packed terribly by Amazon. almost no padding.

Strange.. mine came through amazon that if you layed the PS4 back down flat, it fit snug around all fours sides..however the height of the amazon box was tall enough to fit like 4 PS4s down flat on top of one another.. but They did pack mine with that cool big bubble wrap that looks like zip lock bags full of hair stitched together.

I asked before about sound from the controllers. I don't have any while playing Madden and 2k. Any suggestions?

I've only heard this on Resogun. just didn't think other games chose to support it.

Is it just me, or does stick HDD hold up pretty well against both SSD and hybrid. Im all for more room, but there was only 1 or 2 numbers that jumped out as a HUGE increase in speed. Look pretty comparable to me.

There's some minor differences but when we're talking less than 10 seconds, I just don't see the need to go all out spending crazy money so the system boots in 16 seconds instead of 22.

Again, this gen will most likely bring the nee for bigger than 500gb (lol at my 20gb 360 HDD I used until 3 days ago...) hard drives. But the spaces seems more important than the speed, which doesn't seem like a huge increase.

Just my .02 on really a stupid subject to debate lol. Not knocking anyone's decision, just thought this line of that article was funny " but both offer notably speed increases over the stock drive." To each their own.

Picked up a nice charging station (2 controllers) for $19.96 at Wal-Mart. Cheapest I've seen and to me looks the best.

Mine came packed in the bigger box with the bags filled with air in PRISTINE condition. Have about 15 hours of game play so far. Going for another 8+ today.

They work with the cord plugged into the controller. You don't get virtual surround, but they are otherwise functional.

So a 2 liter of Pepsi and a whole pizza later here is my take on my PS4 experience (and games)...

Set up was a breeze, however I was so paranoid about ****ing something up that I probably took twice as long as needed to do it. Since I never had a PSN name before (only had the PS3 for exclusives) I created my first one (its LordHveMercy08 by the way).

2k14...

first game I popped in was 2k14... GOOD.. LORD... I'm calling it right now.. NBA2k14 is the system seller. Period. POINT BLANK. And I don't mean just PS4... this game will make you want a next gen system regardless of which one you go out and buy. The game is so different than current gen in every way that you will have to learn how to play all over again. Because there are more physics induced animations and what not, you have to play smarter. The CPU even on default settings will punish you because of this. Watch you get picked by a PF and if you aren't really on your A game fighting it, the CPU will just flat out embarrass you. ALSO, I love the fluidity and momentem of the players movement. Again, you have to be on your A game or your momentem if you get turbo button crazy on defense will put you out of position, and the CPU will drain a jump shot in your eye. 2K14 is so much more of a game of skill now than current gen ever was..it's not even close.. but because of this, and how awesome the visuals and presentation is when you do score on your man, or hit the pick n roll just right, you feel statisfied.. its a level of satisfaction I have never felt before since NFL2k5 when you completed a pass or sidestepped that last defended to get into the endzone. MyGM is something truly worth playing. So many things the owner wants you to do, and everything you do has a reason and purpose behind id. None of it is fluff.. you truly feel like if you don't handle your business as the GM/Coach you are going to be out of job and an embarrasment of the league... anyways back to the gameplay and visuals itself.. its SO DAM GOOD that you can get blown out one game, and still be sitting there with a big kool aide smile on your face. It's like getting punched in the face by Kate Upton.. yes it hurt..but it was Kate Upton..so the experience was still amazing lol. my only beef right now is the 2k servers are up and down, its killing my single MyPlayer gaming.

MADDEN NEXT GEN...
All I can say is while it's not the NBA2k14 version of football, I'm very happy I dropped another 60.00 on Madden. I know the brotha at IGN gave it like a 7.6 or something, however a lot of the knocks he had came from things he felt didnt feel good to him when controlling the action. Myself, I'm a coach mode franchise guy so 95 percent of his knocks on the game dont apply to me and will not apply to you if you are a coach mode type of guy. with that said, there are so many little things you get from this gen of madden that current gen doesnt have. I personally enjoy the new and longer cutscenes for certain things. I've never felt more immersed in a Madden game ever. Period. Also, because they have the power on next gen to add more animations and physics and what not, I find myself going back and looking at replays AFTER the game initiated replay on some things because I see a huge difference. For example Ive seen catches, interceptions, and even how this one safety just got around someone in time to lunge into the path of a ball heating over the middle to the TE, who had just lost his own defender... that safety looked like he had instinct, and reacted to something due to a breakdown of his own teams defense.. I watched this like 5 times. The game looks and feels so much better than what you can ever see in a video or watching someone stream, or even screenshots. They even do some interesting things with infographics when they break down comparing two starting QB's and when you pause the game to look at your depth chart in game, its now done with a graphic of the field and your guys are placed in their positions on the field.

I still havent opened up my copy of Killzone or AC4 yet.. mainly because of 2k14... If I had a bootycall coming over tonight, I would seriously even consider blowing her off LOL.

I don't have Fifa or BF4 yet.. but I think I'm going to trade in my current gen madden at Gamestop today to pick one of those up.. just not sure which one to get.. and I want a 2nd controller too so I dont have to wait for mine to recharge.

All in all I'm happy, more than happy with my PS4..and yes I'll eventually get an Xbox One but for me this gen is the reverse of last gen. When an exclusive comes up that screams must buy for XB1, thats when Ill snatch them both up. Current gen I had the 360 first.. and then MLB the Show Made me go get my PS3.

So tonight, I will absorb another 2000 calories of hotwings and beer while I sit my soon to be fat-azz on my comfy couch and play my games in solitude (like a unibomber) until the UFC PPV comes on.. and as soon as I'm done with that.. i will be back to my games again
