Corrinne Yu apparently left Microsoft (343i) for Naughty Dog. She was probably the biggest hire for their Halo team at the time. She's got a crazy background/history. Cannot wait to see what she and Naughty Dog have in store for us this gen.

Besides working as a game programmer, Yu programmed on the Space Shuttle program at Rockwell International California. She designed and conducted accelerator experiments at LINAC in California and the accelerator at Brookhaven National Laboratory. Her nuclear physics research won her a national award from the U.S. Department of Energy.

In 2009, Corrinne Yu won Best in Engineering internationally at GDC (Game Developers Conference) WiG nominated and judged by a panel of her industry peers for the last 2 years in a row, for her work in programming.

In 2010, Yu was identified by Kotaku as one of the 10 most influential women in games in the last decade. She is the only director of technology, and the only engine programmer, on this list.

Was able to exchange my defective PS4 for a new one that works. Great experience so far, except for the hiccup of installing the 1.51 update through psn. It just stayed at preparing to install. I instead just downloaded the firmware update from pc to a usb stick and the ps4 updated through that way with no issues.

Wish we had more legit next gen games to choose from though. Nba 2k14, and killzone, seem to be the ones that utilized the PS4 best.

Having played both, Sony's system is concentrated on gaming and not much else. MS' system offers that too but wants to give you more of an "experience" overall.

It was mentioned a while back - if you just want to game, the PS4 is great for what it is. The Xbox and TV integration is simply on another level. Doing what GoogleTV and others have tried to offer.

And for those looking for that experience, I hope they are loving it. When I turn on my video game console - I want a video game experience. I have the PS4 cam, and to be honest I feel like an idiot using the voice commands.

I'm so addicted to this NBA 2K14. Melo just had a monster game for me. My previous high in the 2K series with a player was like 42. Dude was red hot and we kept keeding him lol.

You mean I can watch television and movies now that the XBone is out?!!!

Can anyone recommend any good shows or movies that have come out in the last 40 years since the rabbit ears broke on my old black and white?

I haven't ventured over to the 2k forums but I'm sure they are tearing 2k apart for some of the things on this game. AMAZING visuals and a near perfect game for a launch sports title but the rebounding and the defense needs some work among other things.

I wish the Xbox and TV integration was on another level. If they were I'd be opening up the Day One package setting at my front door instead of trying to flip it for profit. But when it's not even able to integrate with my DVR and can't output surround sound it's not on another level, it's "got potential" in my view.

Also, because of it's current issues makes me wonder why anyone would want to buy it day one that is buying it for the "extras"...nor do I see why anyone that has a PS4 would be buying it as well unless they just have a ton of friends on Xbox Live they cannot leave behind..

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I love Xbox and will have a Xbox One next year sometime but hoping by then the issues with the TV integration are fixed so that it works like it's supposed to. Until then you can find me on my PS4..

It will take quite a while for our society to get accustomed to technology. Remember when people used to say I would never need to use a phone wherever I am - it can wait? What about I don't need the internet wherever I am, I will just use my computer at home?

Go back and search the iPad thread about all the naysayers and look at them now - they all have one.

It's about recognizing advances in technology that will help shape how we live. I don't expect everyone to get it - they will make jokes and stay stuck in their old ways. I can recognize the shifts we are seeing and I know others can as well.

But of course... you may still have a flip phone and think texting is for kids. More power to you, brothers.

P.S. Knight - can you watch TV and play games on your HDTV and easily make changes while only needing your game controller? Innovate, gentlemen and think of the possibilities.

Wow, awesome. Had a game with I think Kyrie Irving where he had 45 points 15 assists and 7 steals.

I'm curious, how many minute quarters do you play and what skill level and sliders (if applicable)?

Wow, that's a sick game with Kyrie. I play All Star, Simulation, 12 minute quarters.

I am a technology nut and often an early adopter -All I am saying is that if I can just push a button to play Madden, or say "Playstation - play Madden 25" I'm pushing the button. To me that's not an advancement, that's a gimmick - I understand the Xbox One and PS4 Kinect/cameras do more than that, but I only referred to the speaking part of it, that was it.

Wow, that's a sick game with Kyrie. I play All Star, Simulation, 12 minute quarters.

Hmm, I play 9 minute quarters, on pro and simulation.

My rebound numbers are off, probably will need to start playing 10,11, 12 minute quarters.

No doubt a worthy purchase. Take that baby out of the package and fire it up!

So now my rotation of games is, BF4, NBA2K, Madden, Resogun, AC4, and NFS.

Starting to get overloaded here (a good problem to have), probably won't buy another game until the Show.
