I call it neat because it is 2 games I'm buying and you can delete them. If we couldn't uninstall a set of apps we won't use that'd truly fit the definition.

So I just installed the new hard drive and so far so good. Was super easy, as most are aware of. Going through the fun process of redownloading everything.

Edit: Nevermind, fixed the twitch issue.

Never thought I would be so thankful for the cloud saves. Definitely a lifesaver

I wish the psn preloads unlocked at 12am EST rather than having to wait til 3am/next day to actually play

EDIT: Actually, from the latest blogpost I guess you can play midnight EST. I just assumed it went off of PST because in the actual store on PS4, it specifically states you can start playing at midnight PST

Alright, so I was wondering something.

I am re-downloading/installing the digital version of UFC right now.

Right when you start downloading the initial game file, it downloads the game update that EA has already put out. When I go into the game to initialize the full game install, it installs the update right away automatically. Am I wrong for thinking this seems weird? How do you update a game that isn't installed yet? Now that I am installing the rest of the game to the HD, won't it just overwrite whatever the update did with the regular retail version files?

When you start a game it doesn't take 40gb or whatever to run it, much like an 18 wheeler, it doesn't need a trailer to be attached to start. You have what's needed to make the game run and it can be patched, while your console continues to download assets (music, models, etc). While the trailer is loaded you can take the truck and get it painted, tuned, etc.

Crude analogy, but the point is the application you're running isn't the entirety of the download, just a relatively small part, typically.

Right, it was the same with The Show and Watch Dogs, even for disc users like me - You could play a game of The Show as soon as the first two teams and a stadium finished installing. For Watch Dogs I think you could play the first story mission.

Anyone else having problems with the disc auto ejecting for no apparent reason? So frustrating...

Someone did, and I'm wanting to say it was the surface they had it sitting on, or proximity to something else, seems like they simply moved it and the ejecting ceased.

I forgot all about how you could upgrade the harddrive on a PS4. I was gonna do this to when I get mines. For $100 that a good.

What a good Headset to get for PS4 also? I know you could use headphones and play.

I heard a lot of good things about the Razer Kraken 7.1.

Yeah I've noticed faster load times today since installing this new HD too. I hears the Razers are good, I also recommend the Sony Wireless Gold headset designed for the ps4. I think it was being sold for 80 bucks not too long ago

I've tried all "solutions" and none have worked. It's standing up vertically now too and still did it... Sigh... Maybe rip off reset button? I don't know...

You've tightened the screw behind the HDD panel too I assume then. Time to call Sony I'd imagine.

They changed their pre-loading plans and bumped it up today.

Last week during E3 2014, 10 PS4 games that were announced or featured at the show had pre-orders go live on PlayStation Store, and I’m thrilled to let you all know that each of those games will take advantage of PS4’s automatic pre-load feature.

Automatic pre-load on PS4 allows you to download pre-ordered games before the release date, so you can get into your games after they’re released faster than ever. We all know that some of the biggest games can take a while to download, and with the pre-load functionality, you’ll be able to download and install those huge files up to several days in advance. And don’t worry if you forget: any titles you’ve pre-ordered will be automatically pre-loaded and auto-downloaded to your PS4 system by default. All you have to do is pre-order the game, make sure your PS4 remains in standby mode, and sit back and relax.

You won’t have to wait long to try this new feature out – Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, which launches on June 24th, will be the first PS4 title to take advantage of automatic pre-load. Additionally, all titles made available for pre-order on PlayStation Store on or after May 20, 2014, will be pre-loaded. Here are the titles available for pre-order and pre-load
