When I travel, I usually call the hotel's tech desk and ask them to add my device's MAC address to the approved list that doesn't have to go through the hotel authentication process. I do this on devices like my Roku since there is no way to enter in the hotel credentials (name, room #, etc) to join the wifi. Maybe something similar is blocking your access.

My PSN subscription ran out today. I went to walmart on lunch and bought a new PSN + card.

But it looks to be old and only says valid with PS3/psp on the back ?? Will this still work on the ps4 ?

I'm guessing it doesn't matter (hopefully).

Card was probably printed before the PS4 and Vita came out. Need not worry.

Even if you did, you can't return it. It's already been activated.

Cool. As long as it works and I can continue playing 2k online tonight I'm a happy camper.

I would ditch the wifi and try hooking up via ethernet...there should be a LAN jack somewhere near the standard-issue hotel room desk. Hotels usually don't require a sign-in or some other type of authentication through a wired connection.

If I preorder a game in the PSN Store, it'll charge me the full price right away, correct? It's not like iTunes where it charges you when the product becomes available? If that's the case, I'll be preordering MLB 15 sometime this weekend to get it out of the way and be ready for March!

Some do. But they give it to you when you get your hotel key card.

Unless you have a European (or it was some foreign country) account, I believe it charges once it is released.

Just as an FYI, the Game RISK is now available for purchase on the PS4. The game, published by Ubisoft is priced at $14.99

The RISK console game provides a modern twist for players as they embark on their mission to conquer the world. The console version of RISK retains the authenticity of the classic 2010 rules, while pushing the world-famous strategy game to new limits with 3D tactical battlefields, configurable win conditions and RISK Legacy rule variants. The console game allows up to four players to bring out their inner commander from a high-tech control room and set off to dominate the world using the classic map layout. As a reward for winning battles, players will earn thrilling videos of global combat – from epic tank battles to air combat – set in unique 3D environments.

My favorite board game. If I can get enough friends playing, I can see having some serious fun with this.

Anybody get a bunk hdmi cord with their PS4? I finally bit the bullet and entered current gen tonight, and I'm ready to set it up, and nothing. Blank, blue, no input screen. I power the tv off and back on. That usually does the trick. Nothing. I do the recycle power button thing on the PS4. Nothing. I switch inputs. Cable still works but no PS4.

I finally toss the HDMI cable that came with the PS4 and plug in another one I had and wouldn't you know, I finally have both inputs working.
