Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Media player available now
Hello PlayStation Nation! Every time we announce new features for PS4 here on PlayStation.Blog, I love going into the comments to answer your questions and see feedback on which features people really like and which ones people still want to see. One of those questions I have been able to count on has been, “Where is our PS4 media player?”
If you were watching our E3 press conference pre-show, you probably heard the good news – Media Player for the PS4 will be available to download from PlayStation Store this evening. A Media Player icon will appear in the PS4 content area, simply select the icon and you will be taken to the PS Store where you can begin the download.
The Media Player works with both your home server and when plugging a USB stick with media into one of the available ports on the PS4. Your home server will appear as a media option in the player automatically and finding your media is simple and quick. You may also simply enjoy music as background music on your PS4!
Of course, we know what you really want to see: look below to see supported video and audio file formats and codec details.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
So cool stuff right here... through Remote Play I was able to use the PS3 Media Server and play an MP3 while playing a game. Can't do RP and Spotify at the same time, so this is a welcomed addition.
Don't think you can copy items to the HDD though, which would still make Sounds of the Show an impossibility (or at least an improbability). You would always need the USB stick plugged in for that to work.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Don't know what the limitation here might be (maybe my wireless at the moment or something), but I was not able to play an MKV or M2TS of Interstellar nor could I transcode it. I'll keep trying.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
What an unforgettable E3 yesterday. Some new news revealed yesterday about the VUE.
This July, PlayStation users will have the option to sign-up for à la carte programming. That's right, individual channels will be made available for subscription, allowing users to opt-out of pricey programming tiers. The new subscription feature will launch with Showtime, Machinima and Fox Soccer Channel. What's more, House confirmed that PS Plus subscribers will be privy to unspecified discounts for programming packages. And if that wasn't enough good news, House also added that, starting tonight, PS Vue will be made available to PS4 users in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Also,
On the US PlayStation Store, PlayStation 4 owners can download Telltale’s Game of Thrones – Episode 1: Iron From Ice for free. Yep, that’s right — free.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Hey what the hell? My PS4 just started acting crazy. I downloaded the Media Player and then I decided to play some 2K15. That freezes on title screen. Push Ps button nothin happens, Hold it and put it in rest mode and all I get is the white light bar going on and off. Won't shut down.Boy this habit is as bad as dope!!!
