(or in the case of Madden, play it for a day or so to see if it's worth continue playing) and then trade it inFor me, definitely worth it especially since I have four games in eight days between August 25th and September 1st. And after that, I have another five games starting October 9th for the rest of the year so for me, it's all about getting my money's worth and good trade in value for my next game.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Are you absolutely certain the lag wasn't as bad before as it is now? Samsung TV's are very prone to lag. Three of the four Samsung TV's I have in my house at this very moment would be considered "lag-unfriendly" for gaming.
I've never had a settings issue of the sort, unless it was maybe battery related. Given that you've changed PS4's, try to change controllers. After that, I just think it's something you're finally noticing for the first time. Welcome to the world of gaming input lag by TV's.San Francisco Giants

Have you changed any picture settings on your TV? Things that can add to TV lag are processing effects, such as Dynamic Contrast, Black Tone, and Motion Judder Canceller. Other things that can help improve input lag are changing your TV to PC mode or Game Mode.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I watch videos on youtube and especially walkthroughs if available for games im interested in but with the 20% off thanks to GCU and especially if there's also a $10 cert if the game is pre-ordered, im more open to trying games that I normally wouldn't try at all.
For example, if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't buy M16, MGSV, Dragon Quest Heroes and Fallout 4 at all. I would probably have a max of 8 games a year but with GCU, at worse, I may lose $5. Not a big deal at all.
Currently, im playing Batman: Arkham Knight and figured that since I have a few weeks before there's anything coming out that I want to play, instead of trading it in now and then buying it again later on, im playing it now and will then trade it in once im finished.
Trade in value is at $32 plus the 10% bonus would give me $35.20. Game cost me $38 plus tax including the reward cert. It's about six weeks old. Excluding tax, game is literally costing me $2.80. And the game is popular and a top seller so I don't see it dropping below $30.
Like I said, as long as im not spending more than $20 on average, im good and have no problem trying out more games. I rather try out more games than not as im sure, I'll come across a few that turn out to be a hidden gem.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Ok so it's been like almost a month now and I still can't figure out what is making my ps4 control lag with either my system or my tv. I just got a new ps4 2 weeks ago because of this, but I keep having the same issue. Can anyone know where should I check either on my ps4 settings or my tv setting if one of these are causing the problem?
Ps: my tv is a 32 inch Samsung smart tvComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Today, we’re pleased to announce the games that will be part of Vote to Play — our special promotion that enables PlayStation Plus members to vote on one of three PlayStation 4 games for next month’s PS Plus game lineup. All three of these games would be a great addition to our lineup, and we want to put the choice in your hands when voting begins on Thursday, August 13th.
Voting starts Thursday, August 13th at 8:30 AM Pacific and ends Monday, August 24th, at 8:30 AM Pacific. The final result will be revealed after voting closes. If you’re a PS Plus member and you want to cast your vote, simply log on to PS4 with your PSN account, and access Vote to Play under “What’s New,” “Notifications,” or visit the PS Plus section of the PlayStation Store, where you’ll find details for Vote to Play.
The game with the most votes will automatically be included in our September free game lineup, and PlayStation Plus members can get the two runners-up at a discount. We can’t wait to see what PlayStation Plus members decide for September in our first Vote to Play event.

It's like they develop feature lists without community inputComment

^This.
Other than the community thing which could be cool, it seems like the most requested features go untouched again. I still don't understand why it's so hard to implement a feature to notify me when my friends or select friends come online.
It also seems like we go years between updates, and when we get one, it's usually scraps.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
If true, nice to see YouTube streaming. Stuff like communities is a nice idea, but something you'd want to see iterated on over time and that's not really Sony's strong suit.
Overall impression though is that it looks like more boat to the UI with relatively little customization still. Please let me hide and stock apps and create a group of favorites to keep at the front of the XMB.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I like the update. Wish it had folders though or at least a game folder with games installed in an alphabetical list. I didn't mind the long list of games on my 360 because they were alphabetical. In just a last played thrown together order is very messy to look at.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
My life right now is completely consumed by Bloodborne. I sleep, eat and think BloodBorne all day. It is a complete master piece of a game.
I had it on my backlog because I was playing seasons in sports games and playing witcher 3 but now I got all my attention before Madden and in between my MLB The Show franchise to play Bloodborne and it is a beauty of a game.
Amazing and it made me order the damm strategy guide to get the dynamic theme for the game which looks amazing from videos I have seen.
I am level 59 right now and have fought about 5 bosses. Great game
And this is coming from a sports and shooter gamer only. Never liked RPG
But dammComment
