Also possible he hasn't messed with the mic volume/headset volume sliders. Very solid headset, probably the best you can get for $99.

I've never owned the Golds, I've only had experiences with the A50's, however I know Bolt and a few other of the BF4 guys raved about them. They always talked about the great sound at a cheap price, and from communicating with them I could hear them very clearly. I've heard about issues of the plastic cracking but that's it. So what I'm getting at is, maybe you guys are right and he is wearing them backwards.

          Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

Speaking of headsets, I'm not sure if I just had mine plugged in the other day or what, but I was fiddling with the Vita and hit some button to turn on voice command prompts on the home screen. I voiced myself to shut off the system from there lol, even though I wasn't done quite playing I just went for it.

Didn't even know PS4 had voice commands. I thought that's what made the Xbox One such a nifty console. Huh.

Did you update the firmware when you got them?

Are the buttons on the left side of your head? Mic is on the front of the left side of the headset (with the buttons). Make sure the buttons are left side of your head.

You can adjust chat volume vs game volume

I fall asleep with one of my pairs (i have a pair for PS4 and a pair for my computer/xbox) on every night, it usually ends up falling off the bed. Had them since they came out, zero issues for me, no cracks still as comfortable as day one.

Not saying this is the case for everyone, maybe I am lucky.

Also, not only are they good deal for 99, but pretty often you can find them cheaper than that as well.

This satisfies my obligatory monthly posts about the Golds, lol

Depends on the game - if it has a custom audio profile, I'll use that.

Just wish the Golds could save more than one profile.

Yeah, I've been using the Last of Us profile since I got mine.

You can't save two profiles? What's the point of having 2 switches?

Preset 1 is the standard sound and it can't be adjusted. All custom ones go to preset 2.

I too wish it had mor than 2 presets. I never use preset 1.

I'm always on profile 2 but you can customize it to how you want it yourself. I think most go 2 as well. I have 2 (shooter) and never use 1 unless I'm not playing a shooter.

L2 is the hot button when on the XMB, but it's always listening for commands, even in-game (screenshots, video captures, etc.) The PS4 also has facial recognition for logging in... Sony, just never pushed those features much.

i try them again and see maybe it is me. i didn't change the volume settings. i do have the buttons on the left side and people say i sound too low and they can't hear me and they sound low to me. do i have to have specific settings for these to work good? i have the ones that first came out is that the reason why I'm having issue?
