    Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

So it finally happened. One of my Wireless Golds broke. The weird thing is what ended up breaking it was something way tame compared to what I put it through before. There were times when I fell asleep with them on and would wake up with them looking like they should be mangled underneath me but were fine. All I did this time was unplug them from my PC and drop them to the side of my desk and the plastic part where the left headphone portion bends snapped.

Oh well. I have two pairs so now am just using the main pair for everything. People have criticized them for their durability but this is the first issue I've had with either set and I have owned them since they launched.

Sad to hear they didn't improve this after the Pulse Elites suffered from the exact same issue. My Elites cracked on both sides but I was able to superglue them back into shape. Not pretty, but it has done the job for almost 9 months.

PS+ is supposed to install updates and patches automatically right? I have my PS4 usually on standby and it never awakes itself to install these things.

            I have the same problem.

It downloads them perfectly fine, but I'm always prompted to do the install when I actually start up the system.

Looks like PSVR might have been delayed to the fall.

The last we heard officially about the PlayStation VR was that the headset would be coming in the 'first half of 2016', but a hard announcement of a date

September 2016 has always been when I think it's being launched. Using E3 2016 to show it off and go all out leading up to it makes to much sense not to delay it until September. Plus, this gives the studios three extra months for the launch games and gives Hello Games more time to get No Man's Sky to run and be played using PSVR at launch which I do believe is happening 100%.

I have at admit that No Mans Sky is a game that maybe persuade me to become an early adopter of the new technology. If done right I imagine that experience could be quite profound

Question on standby/rest mode versus turning the system off entirely. I decided I wanted to generally do rest mode especially since I'll be playing after work for the next few weeks as I just got the system and will be investing time in to it.

But last night, just my 3rd with the system, it got stuck in rest mode. Nothing seemed to work. Eventually held the power button down for long enough that it forced itself off. My other option was physically pull the plug.

So does this happen often or what? I got this because my PS3 died (went through 2 of those in 7 years) and it scared the crap out of me I was gonna be out another system.

Search is so poopy on Tapatalk so I couldn't dig up discussion on this issue.

I leave mine in rest mode all the time with no issues at all, I would say just make sure the system is in an open area to get proper ventilation as they do crazy things when they heat up.

All of a sudden my square button and option button starts pushing down real soft and won't fully pop back up, at the same time.

How do you guys clean out your controllers?

I just buy a new one if it's really old & has gotten really bad.

You can use compressed can of air and q-tips with a mild cleaning solution. You can also pop open the controller case for a deeper cleaning.

In sure you'll get a lot of suggestions in here from others. Perhaps a YouTube video with good suggestions as well. Good luck.
