I'm ready for the PS4 Pro hype to start rolling...only 10 days to go. Sony needs to step it up.

Seems like many reviewers got their units to start this week, should be lots coming out soon. Hope embargo ends sooner rather than later.

So for instance today or yesterday Last of US got a patch...In it...it say that you can get 60fps but it has to revert to 1080p...does that mean us 1080p players can reap that benefit? and if it does (because i saw a pic that its actuallly a "menu" choice) does that mean ALL games have to have it patched into their own IN game menu rather than us just going into the the reg PS4 Pro settings and saying "Yo checkboard all my games yo!"

For the most part every game needs to be patched otherwise it will run in legacy mode and shut off half the GPU, as I understand it.

Isn't Last of us already 60fps and it allows 30fps as a choice as well.

I didn't know that guys have already received review systems, thats cool. It seems like ROTTR might be the only game right at launch to really show off anywith with the Pro but hopefully other games show some cool stuff too. We shall see how it all works out in the long run

Well... when the time is right, I might eventually cave and get this thing. I did say if I ever get a new PS4, it would be the Pro anyway... but I'm sitting here thinking about the fact that I spent over $500 on two Darblets to enhance the picture in both of my plasma sets, that I could fork over another amount of money for this thing as well.

That's stupid and senseless justification though. It would make a lot more sense if not only I had a 4K-ready television set, but if this thing also had a UHD BD as well.

We'll see. It depends on two things:

1) How advantageous the leaps in visuals are.
2) When yet another system will be coming out for us.

Because I could have held out on PS4 this whole time for the Pro, to be honest. I've spent the last few years schooling and teaching, so it's not like the time on my hands was that needy. The only feature I really needed was Vita remote play. The rest has been ho-hum for me, and something my PS3 has always had (GTA, The Show, COD, etc.).

Until Dawn on sale for $10 this week. Worth a grab, especially at that price. I thing I might run through that one again.

Sleeping Dogs on sale as well. I always try to spread the word whenever it's in the store at a good price.

Anyone else try Last of Us in HDR after the update? The difference between SDR and HDR is pretty dramatic. And this is just with the basic PS4. Can't wait to get PS Pro so I can get HDR + extra graphic fidelity.

Man I'm all over this too. I bought sleeping dogs last week and now Until Dawn for $10? Gotta love these sales[emoji41]

I already beat SD on ps3 but I never got a chance to play the dlc.

Don't have the game or a 4k tv so can you post some photos of the game with out HDR and with?

I know everyone is different but I've never used a game console as my main DVD/Bluray player ever.

Was always afraid of giving system an early death (RROD / YLOD lol )

When/If I ever want a 4K player I'll invest in a good quality stand alone one.

Anywho... I plan to get make sure all my saves are uploaded AND I'm throwing on a usb drive also... just in case.

Then Thursday before heading into work I'll pick up the pro and Saturday hook er up

You wouldn't be able to tell the difference. That's not how hdr works.

Yeah you would the colors look better. Yes you need a 4k tv to see the full difference compared to just seeing it on a computer photo but you still be able to tell the difference some. Google HDR and you can find photo comparisons of things with and with out HDR and the difference is clear.

Seriously, it's probably nominal in what you're gonna see in those pics. Prolly better off seeing it in person.

I started playing Sleeping Dogs on PS4 last night after having gone through it on Xbox360. Its clearly a last-gen game, but man it is still fun and I love the set-up. Ramming guys' faces into AC units is dirrrrty.
