Unless you know what display that guy is using this means nothing. That video shows major interporlation which is not realistic at all.

Go remove game mode on your tv and use standard mode and auto motion plus on ON then let me know if that makes you happy

My (future) brother-in-law is getting a PS4 w/ Uncharted for Christmas. He's had an Xbox One since year one so he has a lot of cross-platform titles on that.

He's primarily a FPS guy and he has some of the new FPS games from this year.

Just curious what you guys would get somebody like that? I was thinking either Fallout 4 or The Last of Us remastered.

Well he's primarily a first person shooter guy you say.

Get him an actually first person shooter then. Titanfall 2 is really cheap around Black Friday and it's been on sale for around 30 bucks a lot of places lately.

I've been playing BF1 & TF2 recently. Both are ok.

He has BF1, Doom, and he might have TitanFall already. I don't know for sure about TF, but I know he has a lot of the newer ones already.

Killzone: Shadow Fall is said to be pretty good. I still have it from GameFly and it's fully installed but I haven't played it yet as im taking a little break from FPS after playing three in a row.

Didn't like Fallout 4 at all but since it feels better to play in first person, that could be a good cheap choice for him.

Other first person shooters that I have played and enjoyed are all multi-platform so he may have played them already. They are Doom, Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Old Blood, Metro: Last Light (didn't play Metro 2077 though), Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2.

My favorites are Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 which is saying something since im not an EA fan and I was disappointed and letdown with Battlefield Hardline as I was expecting more from that game in the single player campaign.

Aside from FPS, The Last of Us Remastered is an excellent choice. Find out what other genres he enjoys.

they should have done it from the start but they are not going to upset the apple card....47 million sold vs like less then a million at the moment most likely

Best thing PRO fans should want is the PRO to sell like crazy and continue selling and producing...That is when Sony might consider it but I doubt it because at that point we will not care about old games....

I'm hoping that they will let developers/publishers take advantage of the extra power for current and future games. It will be disappointing if current and future games continue to have a better frame rate on the base PS4 instead of the PS4 Pro.

Hoping to have more time to play rise of the tomb raider tonight. Just got home and have to do home work and have Monday night football and one hockey game to watch. My ks8000 55 inch tv that should have been here on sat but for some reason is coming late looks like it should be here tomorrow. I work in till 6 tomorrow though but my mom is on vacation so I am hoping that she can be home so I can get it tomorrow and set it up after work tomorrow if not I am going to maybe have to wait in till sat or maybe wed.

Game mode. I never use HDR mode I allow the tv to do real HDR when available. I just changed some of the settings.




Yea you're either doing something wrong if you don't see a difference in native 4K HDR while playing NBA2k 17. First make sure you turn on UHD color before anything. Once it says playing HDR on the top left then raise backlight to 20, Smart LED to high, sharpness at zero, and color space at native. If after doing this you don't see any difference you might need some glasses lol.

Native makes the colors look over saturated imo. I use auto, but that's my preference.

Native is only for HDR content. It's what Rtings and CNET also recommends. For non HDR content I use auto. Native on non HDR looks very saturated.

The issue is that due to 1080p tv owners the PRO will not reach its full potential. You either are going to get scaled back games for PRo owners with 1080p tvs so that when it downsamples their fps are not hampered.

People with 1080p tvs talk about downsampling and how that higher rez improves the image when viewed on a 1080p tv but that takes work which hurts the FPS when the CPU is bottlenecking the performance

So what I feel will happen is that future games will need to have options like ROTTR which to me is an overrated 4K experience. 1080p owners should want just FPS improvements or enhance visuals but at 1080p with better FPS

But that requires more work for devs who more likely prefer to set one resolution and it downsample for 1080p owners but that causes performance issues

All it will take is one or two big game companies going to Sony and saying we can run this game on your base PS4 and Sony will have to relent and they will so not to lose the big company...Could be RockStar

This whole nobody is left behind is going to start pissing off people when PRO games need to run on vanilla cutting off full potential
