I'm still rocking an OG too so I feel ya on fretting about a replacement but that days of play version is so fugly. Not knocking your likes but it would be such an eye sore in my cabinet. I'd rather spend the extra $50 and get a pro if I needed a replacement.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
If I need a replacement I'll get either the white pro or just a standard black PS4.
Question for those with the white PS4 pro, is the white a glossy white or a flat white?
What I really want is the Limited Edition MGS5 Red PS4 console.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Sony getting a lot of bad press about fortnite, hopefully that goes a long way to getting them to change their cross-play policy.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
So i am convinced that we are going to see ps5 come late 2019 after seeing Sony's e3. I think early 2019 we well get a special conference thing like we did for ps4 to see ps5 and then get more details for ps5 at e3 2019 such has games and price, specs etc. I think TLOU2, Ghost of Tsushima and death stranding will be like the last big games comming out before ps5 comes out around holiday time. I think TLOU2 will be a late summer release, Ghost of Tsushima a like April release and death stranding a late 2019 release right around the time ps5 comes out. It will be interesting to see how good ps5 games look because there are already some ps4 games that look amazing. Sony has a lot of talent and there developers are able to really squeeze ever drop out of there systems to make amazing looking games when you considered that consoles are always less powerful then PC's. You already have games like GOW, Horizon that look great and games like TLOU2, Ghost of Tsushima and Spiderman that look like they are going to have really nice looking graphics to.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
PlayStation 5 will be September 2020 at the earliest. 2019 isn't going to happen. Sony has five AAA top tier major titles coming out starting this September.
Spider Man on September 7th, Days Gone on February 22nd, 2019 followed by Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding and The Last of Us Part 2. This doesn't include smaller titles like Dreams, Concrete Genie and others.
Also, Shu said that there's still a few more games for PS4 that are in development which he said could be shown at PGW or PSX later this fall. One of those titles is the rumored RaySpace from Japan Studio. No reason for Sony to rush out PlayStation 5.
Not to mention the fact that Sony is working with AMD for a custom GPU and wants the Ryzen 7 CPU for PS5. This not only takes time but the longer Sony waits, the cheaper it will be to buy in bulk stacks.
Two other factors, Sony could possibly hold a PS5 reveal like they did with PS4 which means early 2020 for the reveal and a launch later that year. To release PS5 in Fall 2019, they would have to reveal it in early 2019 or at next year's E3. With so many exclusives waiting to be released and Sony staying away from October to December, there's simply no reason for them to rush out anything. The other factor is Microsoft. I believe that Sony will take a wait and see approach with Microsoft and their next console so they can adapt and make changes as they see fit.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I did hear about how there are still more ps4 games being made but we dont know like how big those games are they could just be small games and some of those could be like cross gen type of games to. If ps5 was 2020 i think we would have gotten more at e3. We basically got like nothing out of e3 besides games we already new before that. What in the heck is rayspace never heard that before? Sony still having seveal big ps4 games is part of why i think it could be 2020 but i am still going to go with 2019. Also with 2019 they could most likely beat micorsoft to next gen by a year and that can be a big advantage has there is now way micorsoft would come out with there next system in 2019 only 2 years after xbox one x.
As for other posts that say PS5 is three years away and it's 2021, no way. PS4 Pro would then be over 4 years old by then. I think the max Pro goes is just under four years. I believe that September 2020 is almost a sure bet because it coincides with Sony's 25th year anniversary of PlayStation in NA. I can see them doing an NA/Europe launch and then in early 2021, launching everywhere else. Japan is the wildcard because while that's Sony's home territory, consoles are for the majority non-existent in Japan. Depends on how Sony sees the market at the time.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
If PS5 is Fall 2019, Sony would announce it in early 2019. No way is Sony going to take away the spotlight from Days Gone. Also, why release PS5 when all the games are being developed with PS4 Pro in mind? The other games could be smaller titles but im expecting them to be announcements from second parties. RaySpace is (obviously) some kind of game in space but other than knowing that the name was trademarked and it being connected to Japan Studio, I don't know anything about it. As for releasing a year before Microsoft, that would be worse because they would be a year behind tech wise and the cost would be higher.

We are saying PS5 in 3 years because that’s what Sony has said. Unless you have some insider information and Sony is lying to us then it isn’t coming out in 2019.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I know Kodera has said that but I don't believe that will happen. No way PS4 Pro is going five years. Just no way. I'll be shocked. Plus, I don't see Sony giving Microsoft a year head start. At most, six months if Microsoft launches in March 2020. Have to wait and see what happens.Comment
