Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
So I've been itching to trade in my standard PS4 for a pro. Last i checked I can get a $180 trade in value from GameStop. Only question I have is I buy games didgitally. If I factory reset my PS4 to delete everything does that delete my library too? Or is that connected to my psn account and I'll be able to download off the cloud?Comment

PSN account. When you get your new PS4, just go to the PSN Store and to your library. There you will see any and all digital content that you have ever purchased on that account. I would also suggest that before you get rid of your current PS4, that you go into settings and find the deactivate PS4 and get it off your account. I have had issues after getting a new PS4 and trying to deactivate it on the website after the fact.
I didn't do this when i changed my hard drive on my original ps4 and its been a nightmare to fix. Switching hard drives and installing appears to PSN like a new system so it wasn't picking up the system as my primary even though all that had changed was the hard drive. I tried doing it online and something screwed up and it said I deactivated everything from my account but it didn't take and you can only do it once every 6 months, no exceptions even if you call them. So being all digital I was screwed if my internet ever went down because it couldn't verify the license and wouldn't let me play any of my games. Luckily when I got my pro this past weekend I was able to identify it as my primary.
Also make sure you upload any game saves to the cloud that you want to keep. While the library is locked to your PSN your local saves won't be. So if you have franchises or story progression on your games make sure to upload anything you want to continue.Comment

Upload your game saves to the cloud but also put them on USB and keep that USB stick in a safe place. Trust me, don't trust the cloud completely as it screwed me over on a couple of saves. It's great convenience but when you do a system transition always, always, always make a USB stick backup as well just in case.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Any idea what the PS4 Pro will be going for on Black Friday/Cyber Monday?
I actually never thought I'd even think of upgrading but...I'm a fiend.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I want to get a PS4 Pro and 4kTV. I definitely think there will be good deals for 4kTVs. They already start at $299 for the basic 4kTVs. So I can see good models to start around $250 and basic 4K models $225. So most likely definitely getting a good model between those days.
But, I agree there isn't really a reason for them to lower the price for PS4. I think definitely think next year, there will be good deals. But with this console still fairly new, no reason to go cheaper for Black Friday. I can see it going down to $350. If it went down to $300, I would definitely buy it no hesitation. But, I don't see it going down past $350Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I have 2 PS4s. My original one and one someone let me have. I want to trade in my original PS4. But the problem is that my original PS4 has the issue where it constantly ejects and makes the eject noise. Where it didn't really happen until last year. It doesn't happen all the time, but i stopped trusting it and started buying games digitally on that console. Now I don't haven't used that console in like over 5 months.
Do you think I can still trade it in? I don't see it as a issue. I know there were workarounds to that issueComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Not sure I think before the Holidays Sony will cut ps4 slim to 250 maybe 200 and pro to 350 maybe 300. Most likely slim will be 250 and pro 350. If they did cut Pro to 300 that would be KO for xboxone X though. But also once that happens trade in value for ps4 slim and regular ps4 I am sure will also go down. I am sure there will be some kind of bundles to. I think come holiday time 2018 we could see a Spider-Man pro bundle or something to.Last edited by Smallville102001; 08-29-2017, 01:26 AM.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Why would they discount the Pro? The base PS4 will be what's more heavily discounted and the Pro will remain $100-$150 or so behind the One X until the PS5 in ~2019/20 allowing for a year or two for their transition before the sequel to the One X hits in ~2021/22. The Pro will remain the upgrade/enthusiast SKU for people who got a shiny new 4k TV (unless they want to play UHD discs and don't have a One S already). There's no reason to give up any profit margin at this point.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I don't think pro will get down to 300 most likely I think 350 just to take a little more steam out of xboxone x. Heck last year around the holidays there was a time you could get pro for 350.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I could see them doing a PS4 Pro and PSVR type bundle for $699 before discounting the Pro too much.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20
