Nintendo is ridiculous. They got a year lead on the competition and released nothing. Their competition is set to release for the holiday season and nintendo plans on releasing all their AAA first party games mid 2014??? What?

They need a price cut as well. 50 bucks cheaper than the PS4 is not enough.

Eh, Nintendo has carved out a little niche for themselves. The problem that I see with Nintendo is that they got complacent. You need games to move a system. The thing for me at least is most wanting Nintendo games on other systems still want Nintendo games

Yes we'll that's part of the reason I think they should go for other systems. Not many will shell out 350 for a WiiU for some of the Nintendo games but many will purchase Nintendo games on a Xbone/PS4.

Not so sure this is an issue at all, I mean the Xbox one isn't even being released in japan, well not yet, so what region free games would you even want to play on ur new Xbox one

I get what you're saying, but unless they're ready to close the doors at the HQ, I can't see them pulling a Sega. Having the Wii U at the same price as a PS4 or Xbone with fewer games? Not many are going to make that choice to play one or two titles a year.

As someone who owns a Wii U, I couldn't be happier with the hardware itself. I like the controller, I love the menu, and there is a lot of stuff to like about their online components.

That said, the fact that they have released next to nothing outside of a few launch titles (and delayed multiple games since) is really, really frustrating. And then to see them role over here at E3 and play dead almost is even worse. I understand why they did it - as they had nothing to show - but at least try and appease the people who invested in your console. Theres really only a few things that can save the Wii U at this point from being a total failure, IMO.

1. You can starting working towards a NEW Zelda title. The hardware is set up perfectly for a new Zelda game, and the fact that they haven't even really teased it is worrisome. We saw some titles that won't be out until late 2014. What could that mean for Zelda?

2. Put out a Pokemon game for the Wii U. People go back and forth about this all the time, but it's getting to the point where Nintendo is going to need some system sellers, and that is something that would surely help them out. Again, the hardware sets up nicely for it.

3. Start coming up with some new IP.

the crowd popping in general for games, etc, whatever.. it made me feel good about my gaming and that im not over the top like that and possibly need some sort of therapy. lol.

There was some cheering and clapping, just not nearly as much as there was for the PS4.

The audience is mostly games journalists, so the fact that they are cheering certain companies is gross because they are supposed to be objective about the industry they are covering.

On the other hand they are gamers just like everyone else so I guess its somewhat okay for cheers and claps here and there. The **** that happens when Nintendo franchises get announced, or this year with Kingdom Hearts 3 is pretty unacceptable though. Then again, its why no one takes games journalism seriously.

Watching Giant Bomb's Day one show they mentioned that press is kind of outnumbered at those things with actual game developers, and just gaming fans that make it in.

I'm cool with the journalists cheering for an announcement of a game, especially something like Battlefront and KH3 that's been a long time coming.
