Re: Amazon Preorder Question
I just talked to an Amazon rep, and it seems there will not be Release Day shipping even on the Xbox One Release Day for the remaining orders.
EDIT: Amazon just sent me an EMail:
Your Account Amazon.com
Message From Customer Service
Hello,
I've checked the product detail page on Amazon.com, and it looks like "Xbox One" is not currently eligible for Release-Date Delivery.
We only offer the Release-Date Delivery option when we know we can get the item from our suppliers in time to meet our delivery promise to you. It's possible that this item will become eligible as the release date gets closer and we've confirmed our inventory.
At this time, I can only suggest that you keep checking the item's detail page on our website:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CMQTVK0
Whenever an item becomes eligible for Release-Date Delivery, that information is posted on its product detail page. Eligibility for Release-Date Delivery is also indicated when you're placing your order or at checkout. If the option doesn't appear, either the item or the shipping address is not eligible.
You can find more information about Release-Date Delivery on our Help pages:
http://www.amazon.com/help/releasedatedelivery
I hope this helps! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Best regards,
Fawn B.Last edited by TDavis45; 06-12-2013, 01:46 PM.XO GT: TDavis45

Re: Amazon Preorder Question
Some people don't want to have to deal with a ridiculous amount of people at Best Buy or Gamestop all picking up their systems on release day. Instead, it's delivered straight to your door.Comment

Re: Amazon Preorder Question
Hmm... Maybe so. I've bought systems at stores before and it wasn't a mad house. I guess if you got to midnight release it would be.Comment

Re: Amazon Preorder Question
No, and it might not since after launch they may want to keep the basic model the same in the system so in the future some CS rep doesn't think it's a different product and deny some exchange or something.Comment

So basically us people that actually ordered first will get screwed over and the people that ordered after us will get theirs?Comment
