studbucket, why is it when I say "Xbox watch NBC" on my DirecTV it goes to channel 393 which is west coast NBC instead of channel 4 which is my local NBC?

I kinda vaguely recall you or someone else saying to put NBC 4 in my favorites to prevent this but I checked and the local NBC *was* in favorites. I removed it and put it back and then said "Xbox watch NBC" from another channel and it did then go to NBC channel 4 but is there anything else I can do to stop this?

It's driving the wife nuts.

What if you go into OneGuide settings and clear history (not all settings, there's a clear history button in the OneGuide/listings settings are), then try?

yeah then it seems to "remember" that NBC = channel 4...at least until like a day or two later when we turn the x1 back on and ask it to go to NBC, then it does go back to channel 393 = west coast NBC feed which we don't get...

What's your provider and cable box? Can you describe in more detail what you are seeing?

DirecTV. When I used the Xbox One TV guide to turn the channels it will sometimes turn to channel 2 for some strange reason. Regardless of what channel on or what channel I turn to, it will go to channel 2.

I've tried restarting the set up, nothing works.

2) Do all of these channels have the number 2 in them?
3) Does your remote have a channel enter button? What happens if you press it during live TV?

well I've not yet tried it again on the xbox one downstairs in the living room but last night in the game room I asked my xbox one to change to nbc and it took me straight to channel 4 so that's encouraging.

got to watch Christmas in Rockefeller center and the Grinch while I decorated!

4. Are you sure it's not an Atari 2600 and you've flipped the black switch over to game on the back of the coax? Otherwise it will show channel 2

Known issue. We're seeing issues with all media apps snapped, but TV is in worse shape. I was in a dev's office today as he showed me some graphs of FPS for our current implementation and some changes he may make. There are definite improvements we can make and will focus our efforts on doing so.

You could change the resolution from 1080i -> 720p as that doesn't require any processing to do deinterlacing but gets you effectively the same resolution. (Despite all the religious wars, both 1080i and 720p use up 1/4 the bandwidth of 1080p. They are effectively the same thing.)

Snap tv still unusable. This is kind of crappy. This feature is one of the big reasons I went Xbox this gen.

Yep, one of several big things we're working on. Some system and TV-level changes made this worse.

Is Kinect a bit rougher around the edges/resource starved w/ the Win10 update? Ours stopped working during the preview and we replaced it after so it feels like we missed an opportunity somewhat to get used to it under the new version of the OS. It hasn't been the same as far as reliably responding to commands, despite multiple recalibrations.
