If you're(since we're going to call each other out) going to try and quote me...at least get it right.

I stated...if gaming is not AS important(not.....ISN'T IMPORTANT as you posted)....but multi-media is....

So maybe it doesn't sound like another site you won't mention, since you didn't even get it right.

You guys are getting way too defensive about opinions.

I don't care if it's your or you're.....you are wrong for that statement. As the Xbox One is just as strong of a gaming system, if not more of a gaming system because of the way you can interact with the games....I love calling plays on NBA 2k14 by voice. Calling out med kits and other commands during COD Ghost online.. I like how you want to focus on incorrect word pronunciation, but not at your comment as being a flat out bogus remark.

You pretty much just belittled gamers who are actually enjoying it, as this is the who has both, not who had both thread.

So sorry I was typing so fast, I spelled a few things wrong, Mr. Rogers.

Back on topic, as stated before if anything it has more games and you have multiple ways to interact with them via kinect, whether its motion or voice.

It's your post that is trying to belittle my opinion with your snide comments.

Judging the systems after a few weeks is laughable. Good times.

The systems are out, we're playing games on them and giving our impressions. How long should we wait?

I agree with you on this. More than enough time for most to form an opinion

Agreed. I think I've put in more than about 30 hours across both and I'm not the only one playing. The only caveat is that we are early in the life-cycle and the games and system features will continue to come and evolve. So, in that sense, it IS early. But as things stand right now, we can draw fair comparisons.

Right. I think it's a given in this thread that we're giving our current impressions. Yes, we know that there are only a handful of games out. We know that AAA titles are on the way. We know that the interface is going to change.

But we have consoles sitting in front of us and several weeks of play time under our belt, so we're giving impressions based on that. No rational person (keyword: rational) is trying to pass final judgment or write an obituary for one system or the other.

Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons

I will say this. I had a 5-day holiday, and when I wasn't eating turkey sandwiches and hanging Christmas lights, I had one or both of these systems fired up.

With the Xbox One, I've got an HDMI splitter hooked to it which runs my DirecTV, Blu-Ray Player, and the HDMI cord hooked to my PC through the console. (I did hook up my PS4 through it just for kicks, but I could feel a bit of latency, so I unhooked it.)

The media integration of the Xbox One shouldn't be downplayed. Even if you don't want to have TV snapped while you're playing a game, it's still pretty sweet just to be able to switch. For instance, I'm watching Comic Book Men with the wife. She gets up to fix a drink, and I'm playing Dead Rising 3, resuming at the same spot I was at hours ago. When she comes back, back to TV.

Or, I'm watching the Chiefs and the Broncos. During commercials and halftime, I'm browsing my friends' feeds, watching videos they've shared and checking out their achievements. I completely get the "One" name now--they want to be "Input 1" on your TV. And on my TV, the X1 is input 1.

Criticisms: I wish Upload Studio could upload in the background like the PS4 does, or at least be snapped to the side. I'm hoping this will be addressed.

As for the PS4, I spent quite a bit of time with it over the break as well. I have Killzone and Madden 25, and those two games are a blast to play. I like the PS4 UI, because it's quick, simple, and it gives me some of the same social features that the X1 does. During loading, I can hit the PS button and look at "What's New" to see what my buddies are playing, what trophies they've unlocked, and so forth.

And yet, as great as it is, compared to the Xbox One, the PS4 already feels just a bit isolated in my media center. Literally everything else is on input 1, and the PS4 is input 2. If there was a way to completely eliminate latency, I would definitely run my PS4 through my Xbox One.

Criticisms: I'm unable to watch videos people share on the PS4 UI. I suspect this will be fixed in time. Also, I'm ready for suspend/resume to be patched in. I love just turning my Xbox One off and knowing the game will resume from where I left off.

Interesting. I have a PS4 and a friend has an Xbox One. The PS4 is graphically superior and the One more of a media hub. I'd say it's clear one system focused on gaming while the other had different priorities.

Being a media hub and a gaming console are not mutually exclusive concepts.

For those who have both how do the "indie" titles/downloadable games selection compare?

There are so few titles out for each system that I'm not sure a comparison can even be made. In the short term the PS4 has indies lined up, quality of ports and games remains to be seen.

MS still has a lot to prove in this area, with their whole ID@Xbox initiative that probably won't pay dividends until mid-late next year.

Uh, no it's not. And I bet if I wait 6 months to a year, my opinion will even grow stronger...based on the past alone. That is, Microsoft continued to improve XBL and the UI. Sony didn't really change anything from when I got the PS3 to the day I stopped using it two weeks ago.
