Gaming Tablet

I'm in the market for a new tablet, and would like to get a nice gaming tablet. I want to stream the NHL Gamecenter live, Netflix, etc...

So what do you guys think is the best gaming tablet on the market? Is it still the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1?

Yeah, depends what you define gaming as in this context. If you're looking at strictly mobile gaming, then that's the iOS tablets, the Nexus, Tab and maybe Kindle Fire HDX on the Android side.

I've played games like Civilization 5 on my Acer W700, which has the same specs as a first generation Surface tablet. To be able to run things like that you have to look at the Pro-version of the Windows tablets.

I'm leaning towards the the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition). Seems to be getting great reviews, but I also saw an article about the Kindle Fire HDX, so that might something to look into as well.

I'm trying to find a full windows 8 tablet that will run The Sims 3 PC version for my daughter, as a Christmas gift.

You'll probably want to lean toward the surface pro 2. It's more a PC than a tablet.

ASUS makes a full Windows 8.1 Tablet for around $375ish. I don't know how well it'll handle games though.

I'm cautious about buying any ASUS products. I've had nothing but bad luck with them...hardware fail...etc. and the customer serviceis non existent.

the only tablet that can really run games is the Edge. You might want to research running Steam on a Surface Pro, I'm not sure what kind of games it can run.
