At least at launch, whether it was received well or not, it had it's own identity.

But hey, as we have learned. To each their own.
That is a direction man. They turned their focus to games from TVTVTVTV.

That post kind of proves my point so its hard to argue with lol.

I think we are on the same page here, just interpreting it differently.
So now we are knocking a company for listening to consumers??? Isn't that what we want? Shouldn't the consumer dictate direction since they dictate the bottom line?

Their new direction is a positive one and they listened to the backlash. The e3 conference, good or bad, was all about games. That is their direction.

For the love a Pete.. I'll never understand the attitudes of wanting or commenting that a system is dead etc..
As a gamer the LAST thing I want is fewer choices.
We all know what that ends up giving us.
I want all the systems to succeed and have many years of gaming entertainment.

If a system isn't for you be glad you have another one to go to.

Very little love for LBP3 here.

The only thing I'm saddened about is I still don't know if they're pushing for 60 FPS yet. Maybe they just think it's part of the artistic style to stick with that choppier look, if that makes sense. Of course, same goes for the floaty physics (I like floaty as a staple for this franchise, but you'd imagine they would perhaps tweak it over time).

Lots from me. I can't wait to get hands on with it.
Just wish my ADD wouldn't be an issue and I could build levels like some I've downloaded from users.
            Great game IMO.

Heh, same. It's not all that easy to make a good level, though. Takes master skill and patience, and I just don't have it. It was much easier to do with LBP Karting. Unfortunately, that game wasn't that great.

Anemic sales figures? X1 had the second most successful launch in console history and to this point has sold better than the 360 did at the same stage.

Just because the PS4 has sold more doesn't mean that the X1's sales have been "anemic".

There is obviously room for both consoles to be successful and that is good for all gamers.

Exactly. Does anyone believe that if Sony controlled the market they wouldn't take advantage of that position? Every company would.

                    Re: E3 2014: Sony Conference

After digesting all three conferences (plus EA's), I'm inclined to think there wasn't a clear winner, but I would have to give a slight edge to both Nintendo and MS. Sony's was decent in the beginning and it ended well, but the middle bogged the show down a good bit. Everyone else had much better pacing. Long talking segments just weigh things down. This is coming from someone who only owns a PS4 in terms of next-gen hardware.

There were some things I liked that make me consider the Wii U, but I still don't think it was enough to sell me just yet, especially considering most of the releases aren't until 2015. I wasn't a huge fan of any of the Xbox exclusives, minus the Halo collection. But that in itself is recycled materials, so it can only be so exciting. I never played Halo 2 MP which everyone seems to be raving about, so its inclusion doesn't do much to attract me. Still no reason to buy the X1.

I don't know if I loved any of the Sony exclusives either, Uncharted 4 being the exception. I'm undecided on The Order, but the trailer from yesterday looked pretty good. I didn't quite get what Let It Die and Bloodborne were about; I first thought the former was Manhunt for PS4 (which would be awesome). No Man's Sky, I believe, is only a timed exclusive.

It continues to demonstrate the best games are really the multiplatform games, so whatever hardware floats your boat. PS4 will be my jam for the foreseeable future.
