It all depends what your looking for, in terms of game exclusives right now xb1 has that in the bag at this point, if graphics and resolution is something of importance I heard ps4 runs 1080 p and xb1 runs 720p, if you do a lot of streaming (Netflix, hulu, WWE network) I think both systems are even in that regard
I'm not sure ps4 has this but if you want to have your cable box plugged into your system and not have to swap between inputs xbox1 is a good optionComment

Re: Somebody with both consoles (PS4 & XboxONE) help me out.
Uh. not for me. The Show(which really seals the deal for me), UC series etc.. for PS4 and the only one on the X1 I'm really interested in is Halo at this point.
So once again it all depends on what games each person likes.Joshua:

I'm looking forward to Sunset Overdrive. Looks just fun. As I get older, it seems like I'm interested in playing games that are just fun. I'm looking sure I'll get Halo. Just picked up Dead Rising today. Passed on it so long because not into Zombie games but it seems there are a ton of zombie games on the way.

Re: Somebody with both consoles (PS4 & XboxONE) help me out.
Haven't read any comments, but I'll leave my short opinion.
I bought an Xbox One in early December, then earlier this year traded it for a PS4. I don't entirely regret the decision, but I miss some perks of the Xbox One. Namely, Ryse. Also, while I didn't particularly enjoy or take advantage of the One's all-in-one entertainment system with television integration, looking back I do miss having that option.
Flip to the current system, the PS4. I bought it almost exclusively for MLB. I think the game is awesome, but not deserving of that reason alone to buy the system. Luckily, PS+ has a lot to offer with free games being pretty fun, and I've enjoyed my beta access to Playstation Now, as well the great War Thunder (I also own/enjoy Killzone, Madden, Watch Dogs and Tomb Raider).
I'm not going to bash the One. I enjoyed it, and up until I bought the PS4 have always been a Microsoft console owner. But I've enjoyed the PS4 just as much, and honestly think it'll have more to offer for gaming in the long run.
To sum it all up, I'll be getting another One by the end of the summer. There are just too many awesome exclusives to not own both systems.Last edited by EUBlink; 06-14-2014, 10:30 PM.Comment

Re: Somebody with both consoles (PS4 & XboxONE) help me out.
To say that PS4 is 1080P and XB1 is 720P is beyond an overstatement. I do not think there is more then a game or two at most that are 720p on the xb 1...This whole nonsense started with COD Ghost.

The XB1 has plenty of games that hit 1080p.
Madden
NBA
FOrza
Fifa
Wolfenstein
The Up Coming Destiny game
The XB1 seems to border around 792 to 900 with some 1080p
Now that the new SDK is out for the devs games will increase across the board when they release like Destiny which now is 1080p on XB1 with the new SDKComment

Re: Somebody with both consoles (PS4 & XboxONE) help me out.
here is what i want to know. i dont care about graphics all i want is great game play and for things to be fluid. which system gives me that xbox or ps?Comment

Re: Somebody with both consoles (PS4 & XboxONE) help me out.
That would come down to the individual games, not the console. Both consoles offer games with great gameplay that are fluid. Just look at the upcoming exclusives for both consoles and decide which ones would you rather play more ? whichever system exclusively offers more of the games you want go with that. It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

Re: Somebody with both consoles (PS4 & XboxONE) help me out.
As of late I've come to this same conclusion. I was so excited to buy MLB the show and so heart broken when I played the game online. It just seems like online isn't a priority of this Dev and I can't picture this ever happening with an Xbox exclusive. I'll say that I started out with the ps4 first and really enjoy the console, but as of late I've been playing and enjoying the one a little more. I wasn't a fan of the tv stuff at all at first, but now I like it. It's pretty cool to be watching tv and see your friends log on and hit you up to chat or game or even watch a sporting event while being in a party with all your friends. Also, the voice commands are cool when they work lol. My wife actually enjoys the one's voice commands too which is good.

Re: Somebody with both consoles (PS4 & XboxONE) help me out.
I'm in the same boat. After the first week of owning it I went through a 7 week period of literally never turning on my One, but that has changed quite a bit, and when Crackdown comes out I will be on my One all damn day lol, love that franchise.PS4 is my go to console this gen, but am really starting to enjoy the Xbox One a lot more. For months it felt like a $500 paperweight, but that has changed quite a bit.
I also must mention how much I enjoy the voice controls now - as a father of a 6 month old, it is so nice to be able to say Xbox got to app, select 1, volume up or pause - good stuff.
I still enjoy the Sony exclusives a lot more, the user interface simplicity more, but the old Xbox is finding its niche in our home.
I also agree that an Xone exclusive will probably never have terrible online play. So, I will concede that if you are an online only kind of guy, I would say get the One
Again, you seriously can't go wrong here. Both consoles succeed in a lot of ways"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Somebody with both consoles (PS4 & XboxONE) help me out.
I only own a ps4 but will comment anyway.
The main positives for xbox one are online, fps games (especially if you play them online) and the entertainment stuff. Kinect too if you're the voice stuff. To be perfectly honest, I laughed my *** off a year ago as Microsoft put themselves in the spot that they're currently in by pissing all over their own fanbase with their horrible restrictions and decisions. Granted, they've done a 180 since then which I find very funny because the 180 is half of 360 and I dont see xbox one surpassing xbox 360 as the better console any time soon. And yes, I preferred 360 over ps3 even though ps3 was and is better near the end of their respective life cycles.
Exclusives wise, its not even close, like with ps3, sony's console will have better exclusives. Right now, both suck. Wii U wins in that respect until 2015. If it wasnt for third party games, both ps4 and one would have been dead on arrival. Knack was and still is the only exclusive I wanted to play for ps4. I finished it and its a solid 8/10 in my opinion. Ryse is the only xbox one exclusive that I have any interest in playing. Quantum Break is the only other exclusive that I have any interest in but it wasnt even shown at e3 which tells me its a late 2015 release at the earliest.
Microsoft had a solid e3 2014 but they had NOTHING for me. Dspite Sony's long and boring middle, they still had a better e3 2014. Uncharted 4, tlour, let it die, the order won it for me. Add in the exclusive content from ubisoft (which is great for me as they're my favorite and go to company) and batman and its not even close.
With all of that said, im still keeping up with xbox one for one reason - Phil Spencer. But at the same time, he needs to be given at least until e3 2015 before any long term decision can be made towards xbox one. I'm definitely optimistic as long as the 'corporate suits' stay the hell out of his way.
As of right now and in my opinion -
Exclusives - wii u by far with ps4/xbox one tied depending on if you're a Killzone, Knack, Infamous and The Show fan or if you're a Ryse, Dead Rising and Titanfall fan. As previously stated, for me, its 1-1.
Online - xbox one followed by ps4. I dont care about online play and wont until The Division. If you do, especially if you're a COD and/or BF fan, xbox one is for you. Downloading games is slow on ps4. Dont know about xbox one.
Entertainment/other - xbox one but I dont care about that stuff. Will say this though, dont like the idea of renting movies or tv episodes on ps4 because as far as i know they cant be downloaded. In this regard, I prefer xbox 360 especially since I can 'stretch' out the picture. Ps4 and ps3 aggravate me in this regard. On the flip side, I hate Kinect, PS camera, ps now looks to be doa, ps tv is 50/50 and vr crap is just that. You would think that both companies would know better when it comes to add-ons and gimmicks, especially sony but sadly, they dont.
Third party games - ps4. Third party games look better and are easier to develop on ps4. Add in the fact that the majority of top tier third party games have exclusive ps4 content and well, ps4 easily wins thus far.
PSN/xbox one arcade/indies - ps4. Compared to 360/ps3, this has completely gone in the other direction thus far. Im a fan of indie and psn/arcade games so this is a plus for me.
Overall - ps4, wii u, xbox one. Wii U has the exclusives but lack third party support. To me, it always comes down to exclusives and future exclusives. Wii U is the best now but I think that ps4 will surpass them once Uncharted 4 and their other exclusives come out. Microsoft has nothing for me personally which is why its my third console of choice. Add in third party games being better on ps4 and well, future potential is all ps4 unless Sony screws up. Nintendo can and will survive as they're the only company in the world who can support a console by themselves. Microsoft is finally going in a positive direction but still have to give Spencer at least until e3 2015. I just hope that Spencer gets a few years on the job to see what he can do.
Obviously, this is just my own personal opinion.Last edited by daniel77733; 06-27-2014, 08:33 PM.Comment

Re: Somebody with both consoles (PS4 & XboxONE) help me out.
And Drive Club/Gran Turismo 7 are on PS4... so is Uncharted. See how easy this is? Opinions bro, but since we are listing exclusives...
Killzone Shadowfall
Knack
Infamous Second Son
Infamous First Light
The Last of Us Remastered
Drive Club
Gran Turismo 7
Uncharted 4
Bloodborne
The Order: 1886
Little Big Planet 3
Ratchet and Clank
Let it Die
MLB The Show
Deep Down
vs
Forza 5
Forza Horizon 2
Halo Collection
Halo 5
Ryse
Qauntom Break
Crackdown
Scalebound
Fable Legends
Sunset Overdrive
Phantom Dust
note: I'm not counting games like Titanfall(ONE), Dead Rising 3(ONE), No Man's Sky(PS4), FF14(PS4) as they all have/will have superior PC versions. If you don't PC game for superior versions when available then these may count for you as well.
That's a more legit list of AAA exclusives announced/already out on both consoles. Look up the games for yourself and judge which you think are better.Last edited by Wikedjug; 06-29-2014, 10:58 PM.Comment

Re: Somebody with both consoles (PS4 & XboxONE) help me out.
I'm getting a PS4 for my birthday so I can play the PS4 exclusives. I honestly think it comes down to which system your friends play, which is why I'm going to buy most games for my X1.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: Somebody with both consoles (PS4 & XboxONE) help me out.
I should have added "for me" after "not even close". I could care less about the two racing games but in fairness though, I could care less about Drive Club and Gran Turismo so it evens out in regards to the racing games. And Uncharted 4 > Halo. Granted, they're different genres but considering the fact that im an Uncharted fan and have only played four FPS games ever, the choice is easy for me.
In the end, to each his/her own.Comment
