Maybe true, but I'll be damned if I walk into a store and buy a NEW product, I'm not gonna accept a refurbished product 6 days later due to **** service!!

Re: My Sony Playstation 4 Experience
Yeah, that's a point you continue to belabor for no reason, and is why you take it back to the store rather than ship it off and receive a refurbished unit like pretty much every single other major CE operation's warranty service provides.
But as has already been restated a couple of times he had a game stuck in it, so that option was off the table, whether he had it for 6 days or 60 is irrelevant.
In most cases this would have resulted in a swap in the store for the same product and that store would reconcile that unit with Sony.Comment

Re: My Sony Playstation 4 Experience
Only reason it was belabored was because it was miss stated a number of times that he had received a new system when he didn't, there's a difference between the two.
I completely understand what happened and why, I've read his posts, my only point has ever been that if I was selling a new product and it was malfunctioning in 6 days from purchase, I don't give a damn where it was returned to the store of purchase or the company itself (paper work and procedures might vary) the customer would recieve a new in the box product!!
When someone reads the OP then continues to state the poster did recieve a new unit... Well sorry but there is a reason to "belabor".Comment

Re: My Sony Playstation 4 Experience
If Sony sent him the same system, it would be the only time I've ever heard of that happening. So either he's a unique case, or he's mistaken.
Regardless of whether it was repaired (cough) or replaced by a refurb, if that wasn't good enough it shouldn't have been sent in. Stores have return policies for a reason, Sony has their warranty service terms for a reason. If you choose not to do one, you can't cry that the other isn't good enough. It was your choice to go that route, not Sony's.Comment
