Im surprised they didn't release it in black, they have to right? It's not something so serious that I'd wait for it I don't think, I'll probably pick up the white one when it comes out, but if they announced it was coming out I'd definitely have to think again.

I'm surprised that the slim wasn't black to start with. Black is usually the favorable color because it goes with everything and usually looks better. Have to wait and see if they announce a black slim.

MS went with the white because the xbox fans all crapped on the vcr black box and the boring black controller. When MS started to release white xbox ones and controllers they all fell in love with the console as it masked the ugly vcr look and it really does. The white xbox one and white xbox one controller or lunar controller give the console and controller an appealing look for sure.

MS went with white for the XB one as it got crazy positive feedback from fans. I do not see them making a black one as scorpio is a year away and that one will be black for sure.

Yea the people hated the big box looking like a vcr look. But the white does make the console look less like a vcr and gives it a sexier snappier look just like the white ps4.

MS decided to go with white for that same reason. Besides the Elite if you ask most xbox fans which controller they like the best it is the Lunar white that is sold at GameStop with the diamond grips and gold triggers and bumpers

Very sexy controller.

The greatest purchase I made at BF last year. I love it. I tried using a regular camo earlier one and couldn't get used to it without the grips on it. And completely agree with your last point such as a sexy controller.

I guess I'm in the "minority" then. I LOVE the black controllers. Hated the White X360 ones. Hate the white console itself. I wanted to pick up a slim to put a second XB1 in the other room, but with everything being black in my entertainment units in both rooms where it could go, I don't think so.

Yea I understand that but black and white mix well and I am just referring to white making the default black xbox look different and sexier.

If the design was fantastic the black would also be dope...

I just feel that when it comes to phones and console or controllers the white is elegant while the black is a normal standard solid choice.

I just know that any time MS releases a color way of controllers they sell quickly. The Lunar White is a huge get for many because it is fantastic looking and has the diamond grips

White makes the item feel premium for some reason

I wish they came out with a white elite controller.

I don't think white is premium anymore. Nintendo killed that with the Wii, that's all I can think about when I see this console.

Placeholders at retailers online show the 31st, though that likely isn't correct being a Wednesday. I don't think an actual date has been given yet.
