Awesome man. I was really lucky how I got mine. Went in to pick up my charge station and they asked if I was coming to midnight to pick up system. I said that I didn't get one reserved (They know me as I've shopped there for years) .. so they said they had a few extras if I wanted one. SO obviously I said yes.

Then I realized.. ****.. need to tell wife lol

She was , as usual, great. Said to grab it. She already knew I wanted it as well as I had already pre-ordered the Pro.

    She's awesome.

Anywho... I went in this morning and there were people already there waiting for opening to try and get one. Grabbed mine then went to BB and grabbed the games.

First time playing it I have to admit it was better than I expected. It certainly is cool to me.

I know that cinematic mode is not all that great (or atleast that is what I have been hearing) but would like to hear from the people who have the psvr headset and the show, if there is any input lag when playing the show with the psvr headset on.

            Re: PS VR

I am super happy with this purchase. I was at work on Facebook and saw a post that Gamestop had some, I spent a good hour contemplating if I wanted it because the games themselves had mixed reviews, although the unit reviewed fairly well.

All I can say is wow.

I bought Playstation Worlds and Job Simulator. Haven't played the later yet, hoping to get on once I finish my Marketing homework. Worlds was incredible though as a proof of concept, though through the two I've tried, paying $40 seems really steep for a proof of concept. If games run with this, video gaming is in for an absolute treat.

As for the unit, it's a lot of cords, and you need a decent amount of space, at the moment until this weekend my gaming space is pretty cramped and some games that's an issue, I had issues grabbing things in Worlds due to this when in a larger room it wouldn't be as difficult.

It's been a long time since I've been genuinely happy throwing down three figures for gaming. I did save a little by cleaning out my gamestop of their preowned camera and play controllers, luckily both were in good condition.

Did cancel my Pro preorder for the time being to put that money towards the VR headset, I figure I can hold off until after the holiday season or if there is a good deal.

Edit: Also sweat is an issue..

              Re: PS VR

Its nice to see that you guys are enjoying the VR. I on the other hand, can't seem to make my mind up. I told Gamestop I would decide tomorrow since they will hold my preorder for 48 hours.

I've never debated this much on purchasing anything. So many mixed reviews about everything from resolution to nausea has me hesitant. I guess I'll sleep on it and make my decision by late tonight. I also thought I saw somewhere that it would connect to a PC. If so, has anyone tested VR 360 video like on youtube? Don't know if its possible, thought I would ask.

I went to bed expecting to sleep a couple hours and crashed all night. My timing patterns suck on days off. Work tonight then off until Wednesday so I should have a lot of time with it the next few days.

I'll be getting into more of the faster motions things then. Just installed VR worlds, (PSVR Demo pack is free on store but system also came with the demo disk), Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Job Simulator and Tumble VR.

                    Re: PS VR

Ok last thoughts before I hit the sack.

First I'm an older gamer (50) and have seen pretty much everything so I am never overly critical (Other than glitches and lack of QA from devs) of most things.

So far it's delivered really more than I expected. Then again not really sure exactly what all I expected.

Graphically, no you will not be playing in super stunning visuals. I never expected as much though.
What is there though is fine for me and doesn't take away from the overall experience, which has been great.

After playing the last day I can say that not only was it a good purchase for being able to experience gaming in a new way, it was a great purchase. God willing I'll be around for long enough to see the next few advances in the tech lol

Setup as I said was a breeze and I've had zero issues with calibration .. none. If the screen, during play does get off center a bit all you have to do is hold the options button down and it recenters. Done.

The camera and move controllers I kept over the years all worked fine so that's what saved me some $
Using the Gold headset which fits fine over the headset btw.

I'll go through what I've played so far:

Tumble is what it looks like. Many different levels etc... of stacking different types of blocks to either get a certain height or a certain amount on the table. The last one I did was one called " Limbo" which is where you had to stack the blocks but in a way where they all fit under the back and forth bar. I believe 10 blocks got you gold.. which I finally got.
Surprisingly there was one where you placed mirrors to get certain light setc.. (Screen shot above) ..so there seems to be a few different types of things to do. The precision of the Move controller was great and had no issues.

VR Worlds: Luge -- The first possible nausea inducing game. First off (and I'm assuming this is the complaint with Drive club) the distance down the track is blurry. Not enough to not know where track goes, but blurry none the less.
The sense of speed is there and yes on the very first track I could feel some sweat starting but no real nausea.
I stuck with it and my plan is to only play games like that 20 minutes or so at a time and see if I can get brain used to it.
I did make it through the first 4 tracks (Failed on 1 ) without vomiting. Actually never got to feeling that bad. So, so far so good but I will take it slow.
Steering with the head was fine and better than expected. Had no issues with missing obstacles etc.. and was laughing at myself for actually ducking my head to keep from getting decapitated.. Lol

VR Worlds: Ocean Dive was an awesome experience. I ended up standing during this and kept reaching out thinking I could grab the rails or touch the fish. Won't go into it a lot (Only did the one dive) but it was pretty sweet indeed.

I've also played some of the demos like Job Simulator which was fun. I'll get into the full version tomorrow as well as Keep Talking and Rush of Blood.

I know 399.99 or the 499.99 is a bit of money but: 1: if you don't go in thinking you'll be playing a high def greatest ever visuals and 2: Are wanting to enjoy a different way of getting a gaming experience.... for me it's a great buy.

I'm sure tonight my co-workers will end up telling me to shut up as I'm sure I'll go on and on about it

Looking forward to getting wife on it the next couple days.
Hopefully the games keep coming and get better and better. A VR The Show would take me over the top...

Well that's it for now. Hope I gave some insight on the system for those curious.

                    Update:
Played full version of Job Simulator. Tried all the jobs and probably favorite so far is auto mechanic then the store clerk. All were interesting though...(Rest are office worker and a chef)

I can agree with that, it's good showing off the concepts of VR in a fun way but in terms of replay ability there really isn't something that makes you particularly want to dive back in.

Played VR Worlds: Scavenger before work. You're basically in a mech type device in space scavenging items etc..

I only played about 20 minutes before work but was a cool experience so far.

sportsdan My plan was to wait of the pro also (Due to not pre-ordering the VR) but when I had the op to grab it I was too weak.. lol

Only a few more weeks though and we can grab the Pro.
