    Re: PS VR

Drive Club VR is terrible. I have never felt that sick after doing anything before. I was fine for the first 2 laps (demo disc) and then while in the lead on the 3rd lap I had the idea to look behind me, the rear seats of the car and cars in the back window sent me in a tail spin that I didn't recover from. Felt sick for the next 3-4 hours and threw up once.

I tried Rush of Blood, it was really immersive, felt like you were there. Looking down at my legs was a little strange, but the coaster parts with big drops made me queasy. I hate roller coasters and they always make me sick, got the same feeling here. Which in a way, is realistic because I truly felt like I was on a coaster car.

Overall, VR is something it's impossible to explain to someone without them actually trying. There's just a sense of being "there" that you don't get from any other gaming medium. I don't know if VR is for me, going to try more over the next few days, but leaning towards returning it as of now as I'm not going to keep something around that makes me sick. FWIW, 3D gives me headaches too, and as I've gotten older, FPS have bothered me more as well.

But the system is solid. The helmet feels incredible. I noticed how sweaty and hot I got using VR though, and at times you don't even feel like you're playing a game. Crazy feeling when in there.

LOL...Hang in there EG. There are a couple of games/experiences releasing soon you may want to try before you return it. Not sure if you're a star trek fan but, "the bridge", looks like a really amazing co-op play, and the Apollo 11 moon landing, may give you that once in a lifetime experience of "being there".

        Re: PS VR

I have gotten over the Nausea so far (especially after the eye adjustments).. Luge has been fine as well as the Drive Club Demo..(I'm passing on Driveclub full version)

However.. whatever you do..do NOT try the Here They Lie demo... It has a funky control system that was a Nauseating Machine for me...

VR will be about certain games and not a get everything type deal. I just love the "I'm There" feeling.

Definitely agree. I've actually have a few games that I most certainly will get and then there are others I'm mildly interested in. Word of mouth on certain games and controls will be most important.

Here's a game releasing today on the Rift and Vive (Eagles Flight). PS VR gets it Nov 8th. Word is the multiplayer part is fun where you play capture the flag (rabbit) and bring to the home nest. You're suppose to use your attack skills in disrupting the opposite team in trying to take it from you. Not sure at my age I would be able to handle this well but for the kids, it looks like fun.

The VR experience is very cool but I'm struggling to find a game in the genres I like, can't understand the lack of FPS games.I thought they would be a perfect fit for VR.
I bought Arkham VR thinking it would have some 1st or 3rd person aspects but it is just button presses that move you around the game.
Immersive but no depth of gameplay.

What are the games you like?

Game development is taking 3-4 years now to complete. The heavy hitters like Resident Evil 7, Farpoint, and Ace Combat 7 are coming next year in 2017. There's also rumors of VR remakes that maybe releasing too. The games/experiences released on Rift and Vive earlier are now arriving every other week. Sony said there's almost 50 titles that will be released by the end of the year.

New missions are being offered for free in the EA Star Wars Battlefront's X-Wing, and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare's Jackal Assault mission that are FPS. Also, Gaijin Entertainment's War Thunder's should be offering a VR free update soon.

Most of what's on offer is just VR interactive video it's not gaming,I want a full game with engaging gameplay.
I like Driveclub even though it got slated but I already own the original,I've been using the cinematic mode & playing Battlefield,Battlefront,The show & GTA V...

I think more longer story games will be comings and yeah I'm also hoping we get some good FPS and horror games.
I like Rush of Blood a lot but it's still just a rail shooter.

Need to try some of the multiplayer games also ... Hopefully we can get a "Crew" for Star Trek Bridge crew

I handled Job Simulator much better than other games, but when it would lose tracking, just a little bit, and the room would pulse, it messed me up. Even this morning, I almost feel like the helmet is on my head and the world is pulsing. Very strange phenomenon.

Are there two Resident Evil VR demos,I seem to remember one being discussed that was shown at E3 which sounded more involved than the 'Kitchen' demo.

No, just one in vr. The other demo on the PSN is in regular play, called "Beginning Hour".

Description of Beginning Hour - You wake up alone on the floor of an abandoned farmhouse. Daylight is quickly fading. You must find a way out.

Also, just an reminder for those getting FF XV.

Final Fantasy XV releasing Nov 29th will also have you in Prompto's shoes as you help your buds take down a giant behemoth with a pistol in VR. It's a free add-on.

Congrats dude!!! I've been trying to win the psvr since Taco Bell gave out the free code online but didn't have any luck. The only time I had any luck winning a gaming console was back in the day when Super Nintendo dropped and I believe Pepsi was running a contest.

Ended up buying the psvr instead. Now you can use the cash you saved to get the PS4 pro [emoji106]
