LOL... Yes. My son was using it earlier but it wasn't casting to the tv. But now it is so all is good.

Having a few issues. For some reason Synth riders will not let me go past heath and safety and for some reason the NFL demo will not let me get past basically the same thing

          Re: PS VR

So first day over with having this and it being my first VR headset. So I figured I would give my short thoughts on what I played so far still got like 6 more games I have but have not played yet. I would say the one Negative is the controllers seems to only last about 3 hours and than you got to charge again. Any way this is what I played in order on day 1.

          1. Call of the mountain. Played for about 50 minutes looks really good I would say not has good has forbidden west but maybe part of that is the fact with flat games I am not just a few inches away from what I am looking at lol. Seeing the big machines is really cool. Parts of it really do feel like a jurassic park ride at universal studios or something.

          2. Kayka vr just wow it looks amazing. Going to the Alaska place at night and seeing the northern lights really did look and feel like I was there almost wanted to cry it looked so beautiful and real. I only played about 22 minutes or so was starting to feel a little sick. I guess because you feel like you are moving but you are not so it throws your mind off or something not sure but sure I can build up to it.

          3. Synth riders a lot of fun spent like a hour and 45 minutes playing it only thing is like half the songs I don't care for lol. I started to improve and was able to do pretty well on normal but when I tried hard I got like destroyed lol. One disappointment is that when it was announced for psvr2 they made it sound like you could buy the Lindsey striling music pack for free for the first month but its not you get one of her songs for me basically false advertisement.

          4. NFL pro demo very short demo you basically take snaps and pass the ball it is cool that you do get that feeling of the pass rush coming for you.

Just an FYI.......Some tech sites did a run test on the controllers and they ran for about 5 hours straight. Once I received mine yesterday, I charged the haptics controller on the charging station for full charge and it needed time I noticed. So, the controllers may not be fully charged when you started.

Yes, did get it yesterday but didn't have time to play at all. Hopefully will find time today.

              Re: PS VR

Haven't played a ton but so far this has been a successful purchase. This is my first foray into the world of VR. Didn't get sick but occasionally my equilibrium left me. Not enough to make me stop though. I can imagine as time goes on the feeling will lessen.

Thoughts on what I've played so far:

              - Gran Turismo 7: While driving you don't think your head is moving all that much. Checking back the footage though I noticed all the movements you would make in real life. Leaning, looking all of it

              - NFL Pro Era (Demo): Very cool. On one occasion I dropped the snap and fell to my knees to recover. So safe to say I was immersed in that moment.

              - Resident Evil Village (Demo): Only did the tutorial and a bit of the opening. Manipulating the guns was very satisfying. The atmosphere is great.

              - No Man's Sky: Admittedly didn't give this a fair shake. Put about 400 hours in back on PS4 so I'm a bit burnt out on it even with all the upgrades. Looked decent enough though.

Still need to try Horizon Call of the Mountain. Will probably pick up the Kayak game as well.

Just played the intro to the Horizon demo. I was already happy with the purchase of PSVR2 but Horizon just put it over the top. I'm at a loss for words.

Darn it I feel like a idiot. I didn't realize that with VR games to take a screen shot you have to hold the share button that if you just push the share button and go to the screen shot button that you basically just get a photo of the games like paused menu. Because of that I didn't get like 10 photos I wanted to take in call of the mountain including my favorite moment so far from the game. Had a moment on call of the mountain for just a few minutes that like made VR worth it on its own.

                      Re: PS VR

Got to say, you can argue that this launch lineup is arguably better than the PS5 or XBox Series launches. Before I comment on the games, I wanted to give my brief thoughts on the headset itself.

As mentioned, away with the nuances of worrying about staying in front of a camera or limited tracking. Now? Easy plug and play. The new headset is lighter, expands larger, and fits much better on your head. I've tried the Quest 2 and this headset is hands down more comfortable. I wear glasses, and I thought the first version had its limitations. The new headset works much better, and with the way you can calibrates your IPD adjustments and how you can move your eye distance to the lens it gives you your best sweet spot without having to hit the lens with your glasses. Also, don't forget to calibrate your eye-tracking in the menu.

The controllers and headset haptic feedback, as well as the eye-tracking tech will transform many of your games as developers learn how to best implement them. I'm not 100% in-love with the controllers but knowing that the dual-sense is available for certain games I want to play with gives me an option to choose.

Some of my worst moments of VR gaming is the lens fog, poor air ventilation, and your vr motions sickness that occurs after hours of playing. The headset does a much better job of alleviating some of these problems but not entirely. I've noticed when using the 3D Pulse headset with the VR headset, it makes me sweat much more which means quitting fast. Especially, when the wife likes a warm cozy house Luckily, the audio plugs work very well so I've been using them instead. You're still going to have to build your vr legs. A natural progression will occur for some people faster than others.

                            Re: PS VR

Really enjoying the games. Happy with all of them. Couple in the store I'm considering and there's more down the road too. I think I also have the controller issue with GT7 and had some delays with NFL. GT7 didn't work at all but the duel-sense did its job and NFL came up after a few resets. Sounds like a software update is in the works. Spent a nice long weekend afternoons in VR. The more you play the better you'll get. Had no motion sickness at all!

                            No Man's Sky
I could imagine someone purchasing this system playing NMS and saying, "Hey, what the ***k?" Don't get me wrong, NMS looks better on VR2 than the PSVR Pro upgrade and original Quest Pro launch but, it's still is a disappointment regarding the textures and resolution with what the PS5 & VR2 can handle. I can't complain with what Hello Games has given us, and I do believe they will continue to improve in time. The space journey is still top notch especially in flight and when mass makes a difference, there's nothing better that experiencing it this way. I can still go from VR to my gorgeous OLED TV easily and play out a long adventure which will only get better.

                            Horizon Call of the Mountain
Never finished the original game Zero Dawn. It's not that I didn't like it, its just that there were so many other games that the need to continue was never that strong. I have the complete version and also Forbidden West still in its shrink wrap. The game is an excellent choice for Sony to choose as a launch title with VR. The graphics and landscape is captivating. The dino-machines standout and you'll marvel at some of the majestic encounters. On my way to completing this journey. (33% complete)

                            Kayak VR: Mirage
I love the atmosphere, the graphics, the physics, the sounds but..... I suck. Been looking for a broom that may help me better with my mind and the constant rowing motion. Going to need to practice more, build stamina, and enjoy it's beautiful experience/ incredible workout/ amazing travels.

                            RE8
When I said that Hello Games will eventually learn VR, code, and properly display it, Capcom already knows how to deliver. Game is all set and updated. I've already seen reports how this is "SONY's REAL VR GAMING SHOWCASE" and how it's surpassed their RE7 classic. I'll playing this soon after Horizon and just in time for new underwears.

                            GT7
I'm not really a racing fan. I believe Nascar 01 was the last racing game I played. I will say this. Now, I'm addicted to the vr sim-racing. I don't believe I can ever go back to flat racing again. The experience was mind-blowing for me. Not a hint of vr sickness. If you're a racing fan, a must have.

                            NFL Pro Era VR (Demo)
Tried the demo. Love a game where I can couch on the sidelines. Since this is an NFL license product maybe open vr games for me to watch live down the road with some type of package at certain stadiums? Anyways, back to the game. Came running out of the tunnel and started shot gun in the red zone. Played standing up with lots of room and my couch at the furthest end behind me. Twice I dropped back to pass, and twice the Steeler defense blitzed me, chased me back, dropped me on my couch as I fell. Nuff said. Stopped and quit.

                            Humanity (Demo)
Played demo for few minutes. Intrigued. Liked the dog as leading the way. However, lots of new games may prioritize over this.

I spent a majority of my time since release with GT7 and Kayak VR. I'll pick up Horizon once I finish one of my current story heavy games.

The devs said that GT7 wouldn't support the use of the VR controllers. So you're good on that front. Makes sense though using the DualSense normally or even with the motion controls is probably a better experience outside of have a wheel and pedal setup.

100% this NMS definitely can't be considered a system seller right now. I could definitely see people be initially put off if that was there only experience of VR.

I was thinking of getting some type of stick as well. While I decide on that I adjusted the position and height in the kayak and had better luck. Still not very good but it helped.
