I agree with you guys - when the Switch gets football/baseball/hockey, I'm in! Unfortunately for me, I am not a fan of either basketball or soccer, and none of the games currently out seem like they are my kind of game (though I would try Zelda when I eventually pick one up).

After we spent so much money on the Wii U, I'm still upset with how badly we got burned.
The library was pathetic and once my kids had their fun with the few typical Mario games, it collected dust. It still is.
If EA and other AAA producers like R* supported it with all their titles, I'd feel a lot better about investing.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
Does Stardew Valley have a long story, or is more of it just sidequests and living in a town and farming and stuff? I've heard of it but don't know a lot about it.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
I have FIFA and I like it so far, but I have been a PES player for a long time. I'm still making the adjustment.
Excited for Stardew Valley on Friday. Still looking forward to Terraria whenever it comes out, Mario Odyssey at the end of the month and Skyrim in November!
The Switch has the potential to become my favorite all-time console.Currently Playing:

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
It's 60 FPS on Switch, looks fantastic to me both docked and handheld. It does not have Frostbite though, so comparing to PS4/XB1 can be drastic with crowds and close up. But in motion, they look pretty similar.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
It's similar to Animal Crossing of which I played and loved. But others will tell you it's more like Harvest Moon. In any case, it's a pretty chill game but with lots to do. You're given a plot of land and given free reign in terms of making money. You could just plant crops and sell them or eventually purchase animals as well. And with the items you collect, you can craft some cool things. There's definitely some thought involved in terms of deciding what to buy and grow. There's also mines you can explore and fight off monsters. There are festivals and neighbors you interact with. There's not necessarily a story and you play at your own pace.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
Have no idea though that when the game itself gets to a holiday whether it has anything special or not.
It's a fun game with Some Harvest moon, some Animal Crossing, crafting /exploring etc...
Little bit of everything.
With that said I'm really wanting an Animal Crossing game.Joshua:

I'm not that far in but I don't think so. The "time" doesn't continue when you are not playing or go off of your system clock etc..

Switch is seriously my favorite console right now. I take it with me to my son's Sportball thing (he goes into a gym, we don't watch) so i can wait for an hour playing something fun.
My home playing time is down (kids wake up early nowand later night is for tv with the wife) so fitting in stuff on the Switch is great.
I'm really liking Golf Story too...the RPG style gameplay with golf just has me want to keep playing.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
