    Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Anyway going all in for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 this week?

I finished Zelda on the weekend (Game of the Year and then some) and while I have Skyrim and 2K those games will be there all year to play. With Christmas holidays and travel days coming up - early previews make Xenoblade sounds like the next killer app.
Only thing is I know nothing about Xeno games. Last one I played was Xenosaga on PS2!

      Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I still haven't opened the system because my TV stand/entertainment center is one of those wood ones and has cupboards on the sides with three slots. And they are very slim, not too much higher than the PS4 Pro. I have them all occupied with my XB1 and Directv receiver. But I don't think the switch will even fit in one of the slots and I don't want to set it on the floor.

So I think I might actually have to buy a brand new TV stand this week. I really wanna play this thing, but I didn't get the warranty at gamestop and like I said, I don't want to sit it on the floor. We have cats so who knows what they would do.

Also, I have a question about Squaretrade. I was gonna get a three year warranty on there and I was figuring it would want info on your system but it doesn't even ask what system you want to cover. So is it kinda like you are just buying an insurance policy on the price?

Also, should I select the one that goes up to $299.99. That's the Switch's official price, correct?

Use it in handheld mode until you figure out the TV stand situation.

        Yes, system costs $299.99.

Oh hell yeah. I will rebuy the tables I bought on PS4 just to play this on handheld. Perfect.

Hopefully more indies will come to this that are available on the other systems. I have a hard time playing those types of games on a big screen for some reason. Maybe it's my gameboy heritage.

I’ve said this numerous times in here, since you’re a new Switch owner I’ll say it again, The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth + is the must-own indie game. Put more time into it than any other Switch title by far.

As for other indies coming to Switch. I would bet on it seeing as many indie games are seeing record sales in just days on the console.

Was Binding of Isaac a freebie on PS Plus? I feel like I've tried it before, but I'm probably wrong.

Yeah, Binding of Isaac: Rebirth was a PS Plus title way back in year one of the PS4.

I still haven't opened this. It's not that I don't want to. I picked up a case and a wired controller and went back and bought Mario Odyssey.

I really need to open this tomorrow and start playing Zelda. I don't really know why I haven't. I'm just weird man.

FIFA 18 arrived in the mail yesterday (got it for $25 from Best Buy). I'm not a huge soccer fan, but I've always found the FIFA games I've played to be fun. This one is no exception. The framerate on this is buttery smooth at 60 FPS. I'll be diving into this more over the coming days, but so far am impressed with the offering on the Switch.

Agreed. I play [Zen Pinball] on my Vita all the time, but I can't recall the last time I fired it up on the 60" screen.
