    Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Question for Switch owners with young kids: My 7 year old son is getting one for Christmas. I have the warranty, of course. As well as the screen protector. Is there anything else you'd recommend as far as keeping it in tact? He's not rough with electronics; he has a fire that he has taken good care of for a few years now. It'll be docked in his room most of the time, I'm guessing. Just wondering if there's anything else you'd recommend.

Since it’ll be docked most of the time, I’d highly recommend the Pro Controller. I realize it doesn’t have anything to do with protection, but it’s just such a great accessory to use with the Switch.

Thanks. I'll look into that. I got him the Zelda wired controller to play with when docked. Its pretty cool looking, too. How would you rate the joy cons as a regular controller when docked for games like Mario Kart?

They are okay. But once I got a pro controller I never looked back.

Anyone know if Switch games are region free? Thinking about buying a digital game from a seller from Europe but he doesn’t know if it will work on a US Switch.

Joined the switch club unofficially, as this is a Christmas present for my son that I'll make sure to get some time in with at night when he's sleep lol.

                Any good recommended screen protectors?

Definitely region free. I've been recently buying games on the South African e store as they come out to $45.

I bought the Anker tempered glass screen protectors. They came as a 2-pack, so I have one as backup, but it went on beautifully and has held up wonderfully.

Picked up Mario Odyssey. Gonna be tough squeezing in time but got a nice price off Ebay.

Stern Pinball? I used to work (Lead Tech) there in the 90's when it was, Sega Pinball and Data East before that. Frankenstein was a Sega Pinball game.

Yep. You’ll even see the Sega logo in a corner when you load up the game.

The past few days I've been going through the eShop and YouTube looking at various games to get an idea what future downloadable purchases I want to compliment Mario and Zelda.

I came up with what I think is a decent list though I'm sure I'm missing some:

Just to start of course. I'm pumped for Christmas - I've been taking the box out of the closet and just looking at it like a little kid does at the store every time they go. Between Mario, Zelda, and the portability I'm excited.
