Depends on demand. MSRP still same as Switch, $299.

Guess we know why they seem to have recalled them.

Sony wouldn't disagree, people don't remember the PS4 shortages at launch? This stuff is par for the course. I always assumed it was an optics thing, you don't want to have a full wall display of boxes that makes it look like no one wants your product, so ship 70% and watch the demand create itself between eBay and people waiting. If nothing else, it gives something to talk about.

Interested in the event tonight, I don't know what they'd have to do to make me buy it but I hope they do whatever that is. I'd love something that I can take with me.

I don't think that it is a thing that company's really plain on doing I think it is just that it takes some time to make a lot of systems and some times systems sale faster then people think they would and also with ps4 yes they may have sold out but with something like SNES mini you couldn't even really get a pre order in in less you where just buy a computer all day.

Ideally, having shortages for a "big item" increases demand and media coverage which in turn would sell more consoles for Nintendo. The problem is that Nintendo doesn't have the reputation anymore to pull it off especially coming off of Wii U.

Nintendo needs to make damn sure that all stores are fully stocked for launch or delay the console period. Nintendo has literally lost millions of dollars because they constantly have shortages which is all planned out by Nintendo. They have a history doing this dating back decades.

Currently, Nintendo brand is at the weakest it's ever been and in order to rebuild their brand, they need to be consumer friendly. Releasing limited quantities of Switch is the opposite of that and will piss off a lot of consumers.

Anything higher than $200 and im out. At $200 but not being able to pre-order also means im out. Basically, it's looking like im out either way. LOL. I'm still expecting $300 but most say $250 which wouldn't be bad but when you add in the Pro controller, one game and tax, you're looking at just under/over $400 depending on your state's sales tax.

Even at $200, I would be looking at $350 minimum. We'll see what Nintendo does later tonight. Hopefully, Nintendo can lure me back.

I don't believe that people are more likely to want something just because it is sold out and I am not sure about there history but when you cant even get something with out just wanting all day by a computer that is pretty bad. It was said the other day that only like 2 million systems are going to be around to buy WW that is very low and you just make people mad by doing that and people then may just be like forget it I will want or get something else.

As much as I'm hyped for the new Zelda, I will probably be waiting until late this year to pick up a Switch. I would just play it on Wii U, but I sold mine awhile back to put towards a new PC build.

Excited for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, that is assuming it's going to be more like the first game. Apparently, it's coming this year, but that's hard for me to believe, even in Japan.

Shin Megami Tensei V? Hyped for that. Given the wording and "HD Project", I bet it will also come to PS4.

Bravely Default devs RPG looked interesting too.

If I'm being honest, I definitely expected more on the software front, especially considering the drought on Wii U and it basically getting scraps for a year. Along with new details that came out after, it comes off more as a device launching late this year, than one in less than two months.

Snagged it on Amazon too. Didn't want to get it from anywhere else so I didn't have to pay upfront and worry about getting a refund later if I decide I don't want it. Still not 100% sure if I'll keep the pre-order but wanted to grab one just in case.

Best Buy doesn't actually take the money they just do a pre authorization that falls off the card after a few days .. and whenever u cancel before that happens your money returns your card within 5 minutes .. all this being said Amazon sold out super fast lol

System has been up for preorder all night at Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. Not a good sign.

Got mine through Best Buy - it may be a complete failure, but my Kids will love it - so that's a win no matter what.
