Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
It's a portable system, like a 3DS. There's nothing to be sold on in that regard. The difference is, this can connect to a TV.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
I am buying this day 1 no matter what. I simply am a sucker for first party Nintendo games. I do however have some concerns.
Power: So the Dock is just for charging and TV output. So basically the system is just a tablet. How powerful can this really be?
Memory: I have gone digital only on my Xbox and I love it. I am assuming this will have an SD card slot but you will be really limited with the amount of content you can keep on your system. Guess I will need to buy and label multiple SD cards like the PS2 days with memory cards.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
Battery life appears to be 3 hours on a Switch dev kit. It better be longer than that. Also, no backwards compatibility whatsoever which in regards to Wii/Wii U is a positive but not allowing 3DS games to be played on a portable home console baffles me but whatever.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
Probably a dumb question/idea, but with the system having remasters/updates/changed versions of Mario Kart, Splatoon, and I've heard Smash, would there be a way to do like they did with the 3DS Ambassador program?
Reward those that actually purchased a WiiU and those game, and let them 'Switch' their WiiU game for the Switch version for possibly a small fee. If the game retails for $60, maybe 'Switch' your WiiU version for a Switch version for $10-$20??XBox Gamertag: djbeth77

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
Depends on what you are playing.
Here's a chart for the 2DS, 3DS XL and New 3DS XL. With the 3DS's being the center and right side.

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
I don't understand why you aren't sold on the go anywhere aspect. You can go anywhere with a 3DS. Why would this be different?"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

If EA brings their sports lineup over this would be hard for me not to get. Love the idea of it being supported via TV and mobileTexas A&M Aggies

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
Because I think it might hold the console back. I'm also not sure about battery life.
Honestly the go anywhere isn't even appealing to me anyways. I wish they just would have made a console.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
For those of us who travel a lot for work, this gives us our next Nintendo portable. For those of you who want a console experience, leave it hooked to the TV and be done with it.Comment

Yeah.....We don't know that yet though. They are not giving any info out anytime soon. It could end up being closer to a tablet than a console.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
I am not sure if I am going to get this day 1 or not. I love Nintendo and I am one of like 5 people who liked the wii u lol. Wii u was much better then the crappy wii but I am not really ready for a new system right now. November makes only 3 years since xboxone, ps4 came out and only 4 for wii u and really Nintendo stopped for the most part with the wii u like a year ago. It is going to take a lot to impresses me but maybe if there are some other great games to go with Zelda on day 1 I will change my mind. Sucks we are not going to get any news about price, specs, games etc in till jan. Nintendo and there marketing is so bad. If there is not at least one other great game on day 1 I may just get Zelda on the wii u and want for more good games to come out on the switch before I get one.Comment
