There was a leak like a week ago that said the base price was like $250 US. It came from gamespot, I posted about it. I think the exact price based on the exchange rate was like 243 and change.

I just don't see how it helps. Say there are 1 million people that want the system that cant get it because there are not enough and the system cost 200 then you are just losing 200 million and making people mad.Comment

Sounds nice to type it out, I'm sure, but it's a tried and true strategy.

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
Smallville.....
Ideally, having shortages for a "big item" increases demand and media coverage which in turn would sell more consoles for Nintendo. The problem is that Nintendo doesn't have the reputation anymore to pull it off especially coming off of Wii U.
Nintendo needs to make damn sure that all stores are fully stocked for launch or delay the console period. Nintendo has literally lost millions of dollars because they constantly have shortages which is all planned out by Nintendo. They have a history doing this dating back decades.
Currently, Nintendo brand is at the weakest it's ever been and in order to rebuild their brand, they need to be consumer friendly. Releasing limited quantities of Switch is the opposite of that and will piss off a lot of consumers.
Anything higher than $200 and im out. At $200 but not being able to pre-order also means im out. Basically, it's looking like im out either way. LOL. I'm still expecting $300 but most say $250 which wouldn't be bad but when you add in the Pro controller, one game and tax, you're looking at just under/over $400 depending on your state's sales tax.
Even at $200, I would be looking at $350 minimum. We'll see what Nintendo does later tonight. Hopefully, Nintendo can lure me back.

I don't care what price they release it at, all I want to know is the release date, so that I can immediately start searching for places to pre-order.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I had the pro controller for Wii years ago. I simply need a regular basic controller. No way in hell am I playing games using those small joycon or whatever they're called pads.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
It'll be $300 with a pack in game is my prediction.
I'm fine with that as the price but they need this thing to be available or I'll quickly lose interest in trying to find one.Comment
