That's just for saves though. In order to keep digital content you have to do a system transfer.
Anyways.. if we can save to a cloud and or they allow saves to SD I'll get a system by end of year.

No, it's just swapping SD cards and being logged into the Nintendo Network. I got a New 3DS for Xmas and to transfer over from my old XL, i literally moved SD cards and was done.

Well that's good they made it easier. Still think it's outdated to have digital tied to system and not user.name/account.

Edit 2: Still confused: Site says:
Copying data to the SD Card or microSD Card of a new system will not allow you to use the copied content on that system. If you wish to transfer content to a new system you must have both a source and target system available. You transfer content from the source system to a target system. In most cases, the new system is the target.

Luckily I only have 1 3DS now and don't plan on another one.

Weird, yeah, i didn't do anything at all. Just swapped SD cards, signed in and all my games and saves were there. Unless I'm completely missing a step, but I can't remember anything more than that, and I did it 3 times (both boys upgraded their 2DS')

Yeah just went through their site: (edited above)
SD to SD is just content according to them. In order to use the digital stuff you must do a system transfer....
Again this is for digital games/purchases what I'm talking about.

Again though their website etc.. for help etc.. isn't the easiest navigation wise. IMO.

Knowing her she'll have one by May lol
Told her I "Needed" a new TV stand for game room a week ago and it arrives in 2 days...

I did say wait until there's a bundle if she could and explained what that was..

Probably pushing my luck as I've spent roughly 4000 on PC and VR stuff the past couple months...
Eventually she's going to tell me I need an intervention..

Hard to say, especially with the way Nintnedo operates at times. I'd like to think so, but this method of shelling out limited quantities to stores could help keep the demand high, and it's pretty smart to drive the focus on the system. You really don't hear about the lack of titles for the Switch anymore, rather the discussion is more centered on people trying to find the console, or those that do have it are raving about how cool the Switch is.
