I have the SanDisk 128gb that GameStop sells. I kinda wanted a bigger one but I didn't feel like dishing out all that cash for a bigger card. I think 128gb will hold me down for a while, and since all my game is are physical with a switch I think it's okay, but come next year when they start making the 64GB cartridges I think we'll be all be set in the 128 will be more than enough.

Kinja Deals (same group as the Kotaku blog) always posts deals daily, and I see the SD cards for Switch noted often.

I just got to thinking how utterly ridiculous it is that Nintendo still uses friend codes. How have they not developed an online service yet that MS and Sony have had for YEARS? I just don't get it.

                        Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

one the worst thing Nintendo has done is this

not have faith in the switch

because of that they felt that had to cover ALL angles

one major angle to continue their brand was MOBILE

they currently have 3 and and 4rth major ip going moibile

animal crossing fire emblem pokemon go and now Mario kart

all games that could be on switch

whether or not they come to the switch is yet to be seen

the fact that fire emblem rpg hasn't been shown the past two directs is surprising and worrying

and don't say that's because fire emblem gets a separate direct

                        bunch of malarkey

                          Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

They're expanding the brand which in turn expands their pool of customers for the Switch and other products.

I don’t think Pokémon Go would work on the Switch. You’d need cellular data.

                                Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I think Nintendo has been doing fine. I mean the launch year was an extremely successful year for Nintendo mainly due to the two big games (Zelda and Odyssey). Outside of that, they're getting support from developers like Bethesda and Activision (see Crash Bandicoot) and more. The Switch is also setting itself up to be a great indie game machine.

As for the games Tomba mentioned, Pokemon was revealed to be in development at E3 last year so we know it's still a while off. Animal Crossing was available on phones, so they clearly still value that franchise. Fire Emblem has Fire Emblem Warriors and had a 3DS game release last year.

My point is that they're trying to spread all these titles apart and the time will come for us to enjoy these big Nintendo IPs. In the meantime, they're getting tons of dev support which was a clearly lacking in past Nintendo consoles despite solid overall sales.

If there's one thing I'm not confident about related to the Switch, it's how they're going to incorporate online and how it will hold up after the paywall is initiated.
