Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
I like Mario Tennis. It's fun.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
It is. There was an update to download when we played it Saturday night.
We watched the intro to Adventure Mode, but didn't play any of it. Suffice to say the story is insane, but should be fun. We ended up playing Swing Mode for about 15 matches. The intensity rivaled Mario Kart I have to admit. There were some frustrating moments, but I imagine most of them will be corrected once I play through Adventure mode.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
Agreed. Game has less modes to play than Ultra Smash. Remove the Adventure mode and there is absolutely nothing to this game. No unlockables or customization options (rackets, outfits), no amiibo support, no game modes outside of Vs and Tournament.
And removing the ability to set your match length (outside of the 2 game or tiebreaker setup) is just a WTF were you thinking move. That's always been an option and then POOF....gone.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
So happy that I passed on buying Mario Tennis Aces. Thought about using a rental via GameFly and passed on that as well. Just waiting for Octopath Traveler which looking at 2018 as a whole for Switch could end up being the console's best game of the year.Comment

I actually just bought ultra smash for Wii U. I know it got awful reviews but it was 14 bucks new and I’m having fun with it. Was really hoping Nintendo would get it together for switch tennis but it just looks to be rushed and lacking content. Not being able to play an actual tennis match is a head scratcher for sure.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
So i am enjoying Mario tennis but there is something that really annoys me that i am wondering if other people are having a issue with it or not. My issues is that a lot of times i push the x button 2 times by accident because of how the face buttons are all like buttons to hit the ball so that ends up causes me to do my special all the time by accident and causes me to miss the ball a lot. I really wish there was a way to change the controls so that the only way to do your special was with the right analog stick instead of being able to pushing x 2 times to also do it.
I do wish there was a way to play to really tennis scores in Mario tennis instead of just scoring like 2 to win a set type of thing but the game is still a lot of fun. I wonder if there is a way for Nintendo to release a update to make it so you can pick like how many points you play to so that if you want to you could play like a best of 5 set match and having to score like 6 to win a set like in real life.Last edited by Smallville102001; 06-26-2018, 01:22 AM.Comment

THE
TIME
!
This makes the Mirror puzzle even more frustrating than it already is.
I've read on multiple sites (haven't played it in a few days though) that you can still hit A then B to do a lob or B then A to do a drop shot like other Mario Tennis games. That way you can avoid the X button altogether.Comment

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
Wolfenstein 2 direct feed footage.
Looks pretty good overall but I will be picking this up on PS4 when the time is right. Would have considered the Switch version to play in handheld had it come out many months ago like on other consoles.Comment
