Yup, can't wait to get my hands on the Xbox one X. First day for me. I'll buy all my 3rd party games on the x and use my PS4 pro for exclusives

7/10 in my opinion. Was expecting more and quite honestly, was disappointed. Oh well. It all is what it is. On to Bethesda.

The only exclusive that had my interest is forza motorsport 7. Anthem looked great but it will be multi platform. Not worth the investment at $500 for me.

Anthem looked pretty amazing, degrade the hell out of it and the concept remains so really excited for that.

Overall was just an OK conference, I'm all-in on the ecosystem and $499 isn't a dealbreaker (less after whatever I get for the OG Xbox I'll trade in). Not really interested in Forza 7, I'm not a sim racer and look forward to how much better the One X will make Horizon 3 look.

My EA Access titles, Shadows of War, Crackdown 3 and State of Decay 2 are my most anticipated releases (aside from some of the indies), I'll enjoy them as they release on my One/One S/PC and then move to the One X in November.

            On to Bethesda.

Solid show. The 4K content looked fantastic, but I'm not ready to pull the trigger on a new tv yet. I'll wait on the X and pick up a PS4 slim this fall.

                Mestevo.....

What did you think of State of Decay 2? Not going to lie, I was expecting more. Game looks almost exactly as the original. The world looks good but not great and I love the survival, base building, resource gathering, etc. but the character models and zombie models all look the same and didn't blow me away. It's still a day one purchase but man, I was expecting much more.

I liked the concept, I don't get very hyped about much else until closer to release.

Always believed $500 was that line they couldn't cross and they did meet that goal.

Still, so disappointed with this showing. They're giving us this beast to play your old original Xbox games but say nothing on VR capabilities while studios are ready to unveil new VR remakes?
I knew this would be a problem with the lack of AAA IP exclusives but not one new IP at least to announce? And, for those who wish to trade-in their old xbox consoles will now have the unfortunate loss of $50 towards that trade-in as MS drops the prices on those lower systems?

                        Re: E3 2017 - Microsoft Discussion Thread

I feel there's room for another Forza game that's like PGR, to sit between the more sim Motorsport and open-world Horizon games. Crackdown 3 trailer made it look dated and empty. State of Decay 2 looked rough. Sea of Thieves looks interesting, but it's still hard to gauge how much you can do, amount of content, and if that content can remain exciting for an extended period. Ori 2 will be great, but new hardware should've come with more teases of the future, at least one ambitious new project.

I wouldn't care so much about the lack of new IP, if it didn't come across that Microsoft undervalues their own IPs. Like, here's Crimson Skies for original Xbox BC. So many people have expressed their love for this, Phil says. How about you find or build a new studio to make a new Crimson Skies? I mean in 2017 we're seeing a damn Busby game returning after 21 years. Not that I care about Busby, but we can't even get a traditional Banjo-Kazooie game.

It was an alright games conference, but when it comes to selling you an Xbox, not as much. Of course that's not necessarily their end goal anymore, but if they want many more people to buy into their platform and ecosystem, their going to need more and better content than what was shown here.

There's certain types of games that Sony and Nintendo will develop, not because of their sales potential, but because they understand the importance of diversifying their portfolio and thus making their platforms more attractive.

Okay. I like the concept too. Just wish they "updated" the character/zombie models more.

I'm a bit disappointed that Halo 5 hasn't been mentioned as getting a 4K update.

I'm getting it but I agree. Their model of having 3rd Party play the best on their system as a way of sustaining them SUCKS. Get NEW and ambitious projects. Stop relying on Gears and Halo. And this whole turn to ESports SUCKS.

Yeah, MS came into this gen backwards. When you look at them in a vacuum, the Xbox is solid gaming platform. However, their value propositions have been bad when compared to Sony's. The feedback is pretty clear from message boards to gaming site articles that they need to invest in new, 1st-party, IP. I hope they take it to heart.
