And when that game drops the PRO might be much cheaper where he can trade in the slim but if he has no 4k tv the PRO is not going to show him Last of us 2 in the best quality....

Why go threw all of that? Trade in a slim get $150 at the most and pay $350 for a pro! You're spending an extra $200 still hoping the price of the Pro drop to $349.99. When you can just spend an extra $100 and have it a year earlier.

$299 + $349 = $649.99 - $149.99= $499

so unless the pro drops to $249.99 next summer that makes no sense

Just FYI, The Show on pro isn’t just “a little better frame rate”, it’s night and day. I just am still baffled anyone tries to say it’s not a big difference. Coming from a PC gamer used to 60 FPS, I cant even stand The Show on my regular PS4 now.

Help! I am starting to lean toward a PRO purchase, but the youtube videos of the loud fan noises are giving me pause. I don't want to go back to the xbox 360 days of having the console sound like a hairdryer. Is the noise issue overblown?

I've had 3 pro's, and all of them were audibly louder than my normal listening levels on the tv. Absolutely pitiful. It's to the point where I may just keep the slim and sell the pro when I get it back from Sony. I sent it for fan noise as I couldn't handle it.

I had no noise issues with mine until I got NBA 2K18 on it. Then...wow. Sounds like a blending machine or soemthing. Really loud.

Just that game. Strange.
