It does! But oh well, gotta roll with what is given to you.

I am hoping my Target and Best Buy have those in-store online pickups like everyone is saying that they are doing.

Still feel like there's more to learn about BC and the PS5. Especially with news like this on the eve of launch, I expect this will usher in a round of articles covering exceptions per publisher to PS5 BC.

“Most of our back catalogue of games will have backward compatibility between the next and current generation of consoles,” Ubisoft’s statement reads, “with a few exceptions.”
Those exceptions are Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy Pack, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles China, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Russia, Risk, Star Trek Bridge Crew, Werewolves Within, and Space Junkies — the space-themed VR shooter. Owners of those games for the PS4 will need to keep that console up and around if they want to keep playing.

There is a 30 sec leak on twitter of someone loading Miles Morales from the UI. It took about 8 seconds from a cold start to load to start menu. Then 2 seconds to load the save file. I love the speed. That will be a big feature for me. To be in the UI to playing the game within 15-30 seconds(depending on game and menu) is huge. That and the Activity Cards will be a time saver. As someone with limited time to play games, quickly getting into and out of games is big.

An SSD was the biggest upgrade I've ever bought for a computer, primarily-console players are going to really enjoy the load times - it's not a convenience you can really appreciate until you experience it being applied to everyday use.

I can already tell, It will be a beloved feature for me. Let's say I have a hour to play a game. If we have the ability to boot up console all the way to into playing the game within 30+ seconds, that's a game changer. Imagine playing a game like RDR2 for a hour, that doesn't feel like you're playing it for an hour when you factor in load times. So if in game loading is 2-3 seconds, it'll actually feel like you played for an hour

I will be more willing to play at higher difficulty levels. It's not the harder gameplay that turns me away, it's the thought of constantly dying and waiting for it to load up. If I die and it loads back up within 2 seconds, i would be more willing to play games are harder levels.

Sony lawyers have sent C&Ds to companies that have sprung up to let you customize your ps5 sideplates.

Not surprised. That's easy money for Sony to either do themselves or license it to an outside company. I figure that Sony will start doing those custom plates next year sometime.

I just bought a 3 pack of HDMI 2.1. I was dumb though. I figured I needed an extra for the PSVR wiring but that box doesn’t support 2.1 so I’m leaving the old wires and adding the 2.1. Will have to swap out when the kids want to play VR.

At some point I’m going to have to get a new audio receiver. The two we have are old Yamaha ones and it would be nice to wire every device via 2.1 to that and just one HDMI ago the TV. Sick of cords and extra remotes. Right now I’ve got 2-3 optical/coax cables plus HDMI and stuff out my ***. Plus a surround speaker set up. It’s a mess behind the entertainment unit.

Ok so crazy statements going around about the dumb cable.

Digital Foundry claims they cannot say as they are under embargo

But Eurogamer in Italy said it is 2.1

Another unboxing on YT the guy said it was the same cable that came in the PS4 PRO but it does not look like it to me.

I feel that if you have an hdmi 2.1 input on your tv you are good and the cable will have enough bandwidth to make it work

Those that do not have hdmi 2.1 input tvs can relax because you can still do the following

                    1080p 120hz full rgb
                    4k 60hz full rgb
                    4k 120hz 8 bit no HDR

Those with hdmi 2.1 can do

                    1080p 120hz full rgb
                    4k 60hz full rgb
                    4k 120hz full rgb
                    And VRR

I understand the need for the cable but I'm a bit confused as to why the internet is trying to make such a big deal about the inclusion or lack of it. It's not as if you'd be playing in standard definition or anything.

                        *Knock on wood*

I'm 2/2 so far with everything. My charging station arrived from Target yesterday. I just got my extra controller from Amazon. Hopefully the PS5 arrives on schedule as well.

The cable bandwidth is a huge deal if you have a TV that does hdmi 2.1 since that means you can do 4k 120hz at full rgb 10 bit with hdr. If you don't have a TV that has 2.1 then you can't do that unless you want no hdr

Question about PS5 preorders from Gamestop, target, etc. Does anyone know if or how we can update the shipping for your online preorder to make sure the system is delivered on launch date or fast as possible. Will the online retailers let us update the shipping?

                              Super pumped!

Found a specific retailer that isn't taking pre-orders and will have systems on launch. It's in a bundle as well with everything I was wanting so that works.

Got my headset Thursday and extra controller today. Also got the email from PlayStaytion saying my preorder was preparing to charge for the console itself.
