The media and some gamers do not realize how much of an L it is for Sony to not offer 1440p native output.

The whole talk about HDMI 2.1 has people going nuts about saying is dumb because games are not going to be 4k 120fps.

But this is not the reason why HDMI 2.1 is important for both consoles and GPU

With HDMI 2.1 consoles and tvs that offer it the system would be able to natively go from 4k 60hz on current gen to 4k 120hz which does the following

1. Lower input lag
2. Fixes any screen tearing
3. Helps fix frame pacing issues

PS5 has HDMI 2.1 at 4k 120hz which is great but the fact that they do not offer 1440p at 120hz means that PC and XBox owners can lower the input lag that much more and if you do not have a fancy hdmi 2.1 new tv you can still gain the benefits of lower input lag and better frame pacing by outputting your console at 1440p 120hz.

You cannot do 4k 120hz from your PS5 if you do not have an HDMi 2.1 tv

So with tomorrow making a week until ps5 comes out and with maybe reviews for games coming out this Friday does any one have predictions for Metacritic scores for any of the games? I have 2 predictions. Spiderman mm 90 and Godfall 80.

Demon's Souls Remake 92
Spider Man: Miles Morales 85

I agree. The base game might be under 15 hours. Seems pricey. The C$25 Ultimate upgrade for a remastered original game with all DLC is the true value imo.

I agree. If MM was a full fledged game I wouldn't necessarily care to pay the extra for Spiderman Ultimate Edition. But since were looking at maybe 15 or so hours I'd rather just go through the definitive experience again. It'll feel new on the new consoles and it's not like theres a ton I'm gonna get on the PS5, especially now seeing the storage is only 670GB or so. I'm keeping my base PS4 and Pro so I'm gonna use the PS5 for next gen experiences only.

COD has always been huge, that'll be the outlier hopefully and installable piecemeal like the PC versions have been for many games in the last decade.

According to IGN, COD: Cold War will take up 133GB of space. Spiderman Ultimate Edition will reportedly take up 105GB. I bet NBA 2K will be 100GB plus as well. I plan on getting all those games as well as a racing game. Might only be able to get 5 or 6 truly next gen games on the console.
