Re: New PlayStation 5 Details Revealed, Arrives Next Holiday Season
Wonder when we will start seeing more in depth next gen gameplay. I understand the cross-gen games that are releasing prior of next gen console launch not showing next gen footage. But I definitely want to see more next gen gameplay since we are at most 4 months out from console launchComment

Re: New PlayStation 5 Details Revealed, Arrives Next Holiday Season
I'm definitely anxious to see Spider Man Miles Morales because im not expecting much of an upgrade from the 2018 base game which probably explains why they haven't shown it yet. Aside from that, im hoping they show a gameplay trailer for Horizon 2 before the end of the year.
August showcase wise, outside of showing gameplay for the two games I mentioned above, I can see them finally showing COD 2020 if they have the marketing rights to as well as officially announce the highly rumored Silent Hill game. Probably announce a few more timed exclusive games as well.
Not expecting any announcements from their first party studios outside of perhaps the new San Diego Studio that's rumored to be working on a new Uncharted game.
Sony is set for the next 18 months or so with Spider Man: Miles Morales at launch, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Demon's Souls Remake and Gran Turismo 7 in 2021 with Horizon 2 and Returnal in early/mid 2022. Anything they show from their internal studios would be considered a huge bonus in my opinion.Comment

Re: New PlayStation 5 Details Revealed, Arrives Next Holiday Season
Yeah i wonder that to. Like is august just going to be a few more games announced and like price and release date and system features and than not really seeing more game play in till like september? I mean with only being about 4 months out we still have not really seen much game play, and we still don't have release date, and price, and also have not really seen features and UI. Its going to be interesting to see how they split those things up when it comes to getting news on each.
I do expect the Teardown and Price and Preorder info to be revealed next month.Comment

Re: New PlayStation 5 Details Revealed, Arrives Next Holiday Season
Besides the snippets from the PlayStation event and Xbox mainly been showing off PC footage when they actually did show off next gen gameplay(I think Assassins Creed might have been XSX), we haven't seen next gen footage. Like I said, I don't really expect sports games to show off next gen footage until after current gen version releases. But would like to see more next gen gameplay
I do expect the Teardown and Price and Preorder info to be revealed next month.
I just really want price and release date and preorders to go live in hopes i can get my pre order in. I think its going to be harder to get a ps5 preorder in than ps4 because of spiderman mm being a day 1 game where ps4 didn't really have anything big at launch. I am worried it will go on sale when i am at work and sale out in just a few hours by the time i find out.
For game play i hope we see horizon fw game play some time this year and looking forward to getting SM MM game play to see what is different compared to first game.Comment

Re: New PlayStation 5 Details Revealed, Arrives Next Holiday Season
Miles Morales will look amazing because they are doing 30fps
In the 60fps mode the graphical details will be scaled back and it will look more like the ps4 version at 4k
Horizon am not sure is ready for a demo yet. I think that game is not coming for a whileComment

Re: New PlayStation 5 Details Revealed, Arrives Next Holiday Season
Yeah Horizon may not be ready for game play to be shown in till next year but I would take even just like a 5 minute game play video. Spiderman mm its not so much the graphics its more just I want to see what difference there are in combat compared to the first game, and if webbing around the city is faster or not.Comment

Re: New PlayStation 5 Details Revealed, Arrives Next Holiday Season
BC questions circulating again after this rumor:
Rumor – Spider-Man Miles Morales On PS5 Comes With A Remaster Of PS4’s Spider-Man
So if that's accurate, will almost certainly be a $60 SKU.
What if you already own Spider-Man? Or is Spider-Man not BC and will require a purchase to upgrade?Comment

Re: New PlayStation 5 Details Revealed, Arrives Next Holiday Season
So let me get this straight.
I have to most likely spend 60 to get Miles Morales and PS4 Spiderman remastered right?
What about if I do not want to buy Miles Morales and have a PS5? Do I get remaster free? If so that means they are abusing the ones who want to buy the Miles Morales by throwing in that remaster to bump price on an 8 hour gameComment

I said this a while back and will say it again - I wouldn't be surprised to see Sony "remaster" their PS4 exclusives for sale on PS5 as opposed to being BC. I truly believe that not having an actual BC team, they're having issues getting the PS4 games to properly run on PS5 because of the SSD.
Me personally, my question would be - is Miles Morales going to be sold separately if the rumors are true that the PS4 remaster is packed in and if so, how much will the Miles Morales standalone cost?
Lost Legacy was $40 at launch so I would expect Miles Morales to also be $40 but if it includes the PS4 remaster, then I would say $60.
Have to wait and see how it all plays out.Comment

Re: New PlayStation 5 Details Revealed, Arrives Next Holiday Season
I'm still surprised they're dead set on launching this year considering everything going on with really no end anytime soon.
I can easily see them trying to push out as many "remasters" of PS4 games or re-release remastered PS3 games on the PS5 within the first year. The previous launch wasn't that deep and I think of some of us had to rely on games like Resogun or Zinpinball to fill some gaps.

When, it comes to PS4 remasters(specifically first party), I feel 1st Party PS4 titles Uncharted 4 and on don't "need" a remasters. They are already visually stunning games. I get trying to get it to native 4k and higher frame rates and faster loading. Bur does a game like Uncharted 4 really need a remaster. Unless you are going to also improve AI and improve texture resolutions and all that, I think just relying on BC and The PS5 Boost and a patch, should suffice for most of the PS4 titles. But I'm all for more PS3 remasters. There are still titles that from that era that is only available on PS3. Like MGS 4. I am still banging the table for a MGS 4 remaster.
I do want to know more about the PS5 Boost and BC in general soon.Comment

For me, BC isn't a huge deal since when i sold my consoles, I sold games too. So, i will be starting on a blank slate.

on my PC if I have a 980ti and play max Payne 3 I cannot do 4k 120fps
But on my 2080ti I can do that and it looks and feels better at no extra costComment
