There's still so much we don't know about with around 3 months from release. We still need Teardown, UI, software features, tech demos, in-depth gameplay videos, backwards Compatibility. Heck, we still don't know what launch day lineup with 3 months out. I'm tired of Sony and Micorsoft playing chicken with Price, Date, and Pre-order. This whole cat and mouse game is holding everything up. You hear rumors how there could events but one company wants the other to show their hand first and all of that. Are we really going to get to September and still only know what we do now?. One has to make a move.

With Dusk Golem saying that he made up all that stuff (why is beyond me), a better question would be - is what he said about Silent Hill being rebooted for PS5 true or more bullcrap?

That was the problem with him doing this. You don't take the cred that you have and then destroy it on blatant misinformation, or you lose any cred you had going for you in the first place.

Actually, reading all of Dusk Golem's tweets, if anything he doubled down on what he said. At worse, he exaggerated some stuff but once the consoles release and Digital Foundry do their comparisons, he'll be vindicated and everyone else (not here) will go back to being pissed off again which I must admit is kind of funny.

Also, he accepted a paid position as a writer for Biohazard Declassified which is why he's no longer a MOD on ResetEra.

More important than all that is the simple fact that he actually does have a pretty good track record so im hoping that his tweets about Silent Hill will be a part of that good track record.

I'm all for options. I don't need native 4k. Ever since I stopped gaming end of last year, I barely even use that 4k tv and watch stuff on a 1080p TV. So I would definitely play 1440p/Dynamic 4k60

I agree with you 100%. This is getting quite ridiculous between both companies. It is like they are not confident with their consoles and what they are trying to sell us, that this game of chicken continues. I fear we will go into September not knowing price, release date, and pre-order details.

I don't get it for each side. Sony's the market leader and and it is safe to say thay they will outsell Xbox and will sell out fast. I was okay with the silence up to June, but at this point there is still too much we don't know about the PS5. For Sony, I think it is more arrogance than lack of confidence. They are playing from the postion of power and feel that they can afford to wait because they will sell well regardless. We are hearing about secret launch games for PS5. Hell, we don't even know exactly when games are launching that we know about now let alone information about those games. Microsoft "not focusing on" console sales. Then why not reveal price. Going off the very little I know about the Tech specs, the Hot Chips details show that the Series X is very powerful. I don't know why they are holding off showing next gen game footage. Power and Gamepass are the main selling points now for Series X. They have to show off that power.

At this point, most should already know which console they want. There's only a few that are concerned about which is the cheapest. I think most are concerned if the one they want us tii expensive. I think general consensus is that Series S will be cheapest, followed by PS5-DE. As long as PS5 and SX isn't 600, both should sell well. I like that both are taking compettion are taking compettion seriously. But all this holding back stuff is frustrating with just 3 months to release.

If it ends up with PS5 and SX matching price at $500 after all this time, It would be frustrating.

Yea its getting obvious now something has to be going on. If they remaster the first 3 for PS5 that seems like a good safe option for 2021 to release during a slow period. Sony needs more 1st person games, shooters, and MP so it makes a lot of sense.
