Yeah, it's the same gameplay demo. I'm still wondering why they haven't shown a gameplay trailer for Spider Man. I'm expecting Ratchet to be Spring 2021. However, if it's a launch title (which wouldn't surprise me at all), then im expecting Spider Man: Miles Morales to be delayed to March 2021 (ala Infamous Second Son) which also wouldn't surprise me. One thing is certain - no way is Sony stupid enough to have Insomniac (with Spider Man) compete against Insomniac (with Ratchet) at launch.

It could be that spiderman is going to be pushed back. Before we had the ps5 event in june i was pretty sure we where going to get a new ratchet game at launch for ps5 but that was before we got the curve ball that is Spiderman mm. Either way if one of those games is day 1 and the other one is early 2021 its not a big deal. Even if spiderman is going to be pushed back to like early 2021 you would still think we would get gameplay any day now has i would think sony would want to show game play for not only day 1 games but games that are in the first 4-5 months or so.

Agree 100%. Spider Man: Miles Morales or Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart at launch with the other being early 2021 would be great.

"Yup. Full demo play-through vs a cutdown!"

I wonder how much longer it will be though and what we will see that we didn't see before. Ready for what ever we see no matter what though.

I don't see nothing more than 3-4 minutes of uncut gameplay. Looking at the GamesCom schedule, they have a lot of games to show off in those 4 days.

Looks like there might be direct pre-orders from Sony. Got an email around 2 hours ago asking to register for a chance to pre-order. It does seem like it might be random.

It would suck to miss out because you weren't selected. There will still be a traditional pre-order. This is just ensures you lock in pre-order and not have to stalk sites when Pre-orders go live

I sold my PS4 at end of 2019, so i had to try to remember what my PS ID was lol. Makes sense they are doing that way to limit chances for scalpers. I'm doubtful I'll get selected unless it is random. I have no recent activity going back to December, even then nothing substantial since about October maybe. But I do hope that I get selected because I feel retail pre-orders will out of stock within a hour. it'll suck if I'm at work or busy and miss out.

I wonder how long this process will take. They are probably announce something formal within next 10 days or so. Then Direct Pre-orders for those selected will go live a few days before retail pre-orders go live.

I just did a Google search for registering for an invite, found the link, and entered my username there.

Yeah i got the email to. Was not expecting this lol. I would love for the pre-orders to go live next week. I am of work next week and i worry about preorders going live when i am at work with me not knowing and then it sales out.

I didn’t get an email either and I was a PS2 owner from launch day, a ps3 owner since 2009, a PS4 owner since launch day, and a ps4pro owner since launch day. I have also been a continuous ps+ subscriber so I hope not receiving an email isn’t bad omen.

Maybe they know I have an Xbox one x too and that I preferred N64 to the original PlayStation haha. Since I’ve had kids I don’t play even close to the same amount of time as I used to so maybe playtime is a factor.

Appreciate it. I didn't get an email either but I registered through that link. I'm glad I did too as I didn't realize that my street address from 15 years ago (in a whole different city) was still in their system. I figured it all updated with my card info and stuff but apparently not. Even if I dont get selected for a preorder at least I'll be in the loop.

I updated my card info and personal info on PlayStation website. Like I said before, I expect to hear something within next 10 days. Then I expect them to announce pre-order price and date for retail. Then a week before it is live for retail, those selected will get an email with time limit to pre-order. I'd imagine it will be 24 hours or so to pre-order. It'll suck to get selected and you miss out because you're at work all day and don't have time to check email.

Looking forward to see R& C game play today. The CoD trailer looked good yesterday. But R & C clip from before was the first that looked to take advantage of SSD features. I don't know if we'll see anything else PlayStation related at GamesCom.
