So far only Modern Warfare is terrible at 4k 120hz hdmi 2.1

Set it to 4k 60hz and it is glorious in campaign and multiplayer at 60fps

Gears 5 at 4k 120hz is so smooth with the internal 60fps is amazing and same for Sekiro which has dips to 54 fps but with VRR active and Free Sycn turned on within the LG CX it is buttery smooth.

NBA 2k21 next gen is excellent at 4k 120hz but still has those terrible stutters at the start and after bucket and replays drop to 30fps

It may have been mentioned, but Target has a buy 2 get 1 free sale right now. And you can even do it with pre-orders.

I just ordered 2K21, COD, and Cyberpunk.

Is this for delivery only? Never preordered from Target before.

I think you could select pickup if it was in stock. But not preorder. But not 100% sure.

Wow I didn’t know NBA2K21 was 120FPS? I thought that game was 60fps. I never read anything online about it being 120fps.

Yeah, a few videos on youtube got me past FOMO and NBA2k21. I'm not sure I'm going to buy any games and just rely on my existing library and Game Pass, since I've already got Valhalla and Legion (via Ubisoft+) on PC.

No it is not 120fps. There are like 2 or 3 120fps games and any time you hear 120hz on any game, it will look like trash on consoles

I mean settings the xbox series x to output at 4k 120hz with hdmi 2.1

Once you do that it lowers input lag on LG CX from 13.5 ms to 6.8 ms and it just expands the VRR window.

Why I keep preaching that 120hz is important is not because games can run near that, is to lower latency and make the experience smoother.

Not to mention at 4k 60hz you are limited to YCBR422 at HDR levels 10 bit

At 4k 120hz you get full rgb 444 with VRR

On the LG CX if you spam the green button on the controller you get a small menue that shows you the fps the game is running if you set it to 60fps if you set it to 120hz it gives you the hz amount.

I am playing 2k more in the last 2 hours and the graphics in terms of player models and faces are amazing and way better then last gen for sure.

The courts still cant touch PC with the lighting but its better and the player animations are the same but with more weight to the players if that makes sense. One thing that is annoying me right now is that when playing with broadcast cam when I shoot a 3 from the corner on the top of the screen it at times cuts off the release of my jumper. That has to be a camera bug that needs fixing. But the game is nice and the graphics are super impressive for sure.

But I would have taken the improved physics and weight and left player models as they were if it meant the game was locked 60fps AT ALL TIMES

I don't know enough about running a team to enjoy NBA2k's franchise mode, and am usually just a Superstar mode player in titles like that. I'll snag it at half price or lower in a few months probably.

That's one of the nice things about the games w/ MUT-modes in them, prices seem to drop relatively quickly as they get to a point where it's more important to expose more users to the MUT mode than it does maximizing the box price.

I’m sure it’ll go down for Black Friday.

Anyone else experiencing games not installing when the console is off with the "instant on" feature?

Frustrating because the installs are very slow.
