Ordered mine last night on Target. Walked in today and grabbed it. Even after target canceling my original preorder, they were still the easiest to cop one by me.

I thought they specifically said 12pm est for walmart? This preorder and now release day really confusing, just trying to get one for son.

What time did you order, I'm curious.
I stayed up til 12:10 refreshing and didn't see it, same with best buy site.

Still could have got one of gamestop series s bundles this morning at 8. Had in my cart but then just didn't feel like pulling the trigger on the bundles or an S series. Now it's sold out.

Re: Xbox Series X ($499) and Xbox Series S ($299) Release on November 10, Pre-Orders

It wouldn't be a console launch day without a good launch day - in store purchase attempt to share. Late last night I saw that the Walmart near me was going to take orders for in-store pickup starting at midnight last night. So I camped on the link and hit it repeatedly starting at a minute 'til, and rinsed and repeated until 1 AM, never seeing the link change status after who know how many refreshes. I gave up and hit the rack.

This morning, I woke up at 7:30 AM, went to the same web page I'd been refreshing earlier, and it now says "In Stock for in store purchase only". It didn't show any stock in the other Walmart store in my area, so I thought, 'maybe there's something to this'.

I haul buggy out to the Walmart store showing stock, make a bee-line to the Electronics department, and find a mid-70's age gentlemen there, taking a question from another customer, an elderly woman who doesn't look anything like your typical XBox Series X buyer. As I walk up she's saying "well your 'websyte' says you got 'em in stock, are you sure you ain't got 'em in back? "No mam, we don't... I checked almost an hour ago when the first person told me the same thing you're telling me now. She responded, "well I ain't never heard such as this in all my 'lyfe'".

The "Sales Associate" then turned to me and asked if he could help me and I told him that he'd 'pretty much answered my question in responding to this young lady' (which didn't temper her attitude any ). He asked what I'd seen on Walmart's web page and I said it showed "In Stock, for in store purchase only". The woman then tersely inserted "Yeah, it said you had plenty of 'em in stock!" It was all I could do to keep from busting out laughing at that point, but I collected myself and said, "well I didn't see any stock quantity listed anywhere on the page, so you may have me at a disadvantage mam." I might of kinda said it in an Eddie Haskell tone though

The session ended with the elderly sales associate finally saying "all I can tell you is we don't have any." We all went our merry way from there. I left home thinking there might be a 10%, at best, chance of me actually picking up a Series X at Walmart based on that, so I wasn't too heartbroken.

So I get home and call up the same webpage and refresh it, and now it has a pop-up countdown window that ticking down and currently says: Orders start in 2 hours, 43 min, and 49 sec. ??? So I guess at noon today there will be a lottery for perhaps online purchase with in-store pickup? No further details are being given at this time. I guess I'll cast my lot again at noon and see what fate deals me ;D

Went live at 1:25 eastern. Some discord I joined had a live chat so we just hung out and waited for stuff to drop. I got one on the Microsoft store just after midnight but that wasn't going to delivered until December. But in the chat thwy kept saying it was going to be a random time to avoid bots and crashes. And even the stores around me got their inventory live a few minutes apart. The stores by me all still had a few series x's left.

I saw on twitter that the stores might be trying to fake out the bots. If it wasnt for that I might have given up and went to bed. I planned on staying up till 2am. It's crazy that 1:25 was the time. Mayne the boys were set for on the hour or half hour.

I have a friend who works at Wal Mart and told me to never believe what you see online. I asked him this morning if they had 5 Xbox Series X in stock like they mention online, and he said they were all gone.

Well they were showing online walmart but you couldn't purchase. I was on business call and just refreshed and they're showing out of stock.

Did they just open up orders before noon does anyone know ?

These launches are just so poorly done. I really haven't given much thought for a better alternative so I'm just really criticising. It may be that I'm not 20 anymore with no other responsibility, but I've just felt like these companies and retailer really giving me the middle finger as an "out of prime age" gamer.

I've been following fedEx all week and it was just sitting in Ontario, California until 6am this morning when it had been sent to Phoenix, and now at the local center for my area, so it should be here today like it said but I was getting worried lol

Walmart did come on at 12 pm. I kept refreshing and it did allow me to add to cart and checkout through in store pickup. We'll see if it works, I'm not quite expecting success yet until it's in my hands

                              Hopefully it did for you.

I refreshed right at 11, was logged in and had my credit card info ready to go.

Process took less than 15 seconds and they were already sold out.

So I’m downloading my previous bought games as we speak. Will the saves dl with them or am I going to have to figure that out separately? I don’t exactly see a place to do that
