Honestly. Maybe Sony can bring back/reinvent SOCOM to fill the loss of COD and it will be a Sony exclusive…..that would be crazy…..old ps2 heads will feel that.

Hard to say. After this merger MS will 'only' be #3 in gaming revenue behind Tencent and.... Sony. Regulatory hoops are why this isn't expected to close until FY23, this scrutiny is expected.

Had good calls this week with leaders at Sony. I confirmed our intent to honor all existing agreements upon acquisition of Activision Blizzard and our desire to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation. Sony is an important part of our industry, and we value our relationship.

A concrete reason for fans to not lose hope, and perhaps this will provide more inroads to them working together more on other things.

The only thing this means is they will honor any agreements in place, but after that you’d have to be crazy to think MS is going to drop 68billion and not make it exclusive to the console.

I don't disagree, it's easy to presume the negative given precedent, etc. I'm hoping this could lead to some perhaps unexpected collaboration in some form above and beyond those existing contracts.

After just purchasing a Red DualSense, if I would have been given the option to by a PS5 and accessories in a different color i would have. The all white isnt really bothering me but this DualSense just looks so good lol.

Jet black does look nice. I thought about buying those, but decided to stay with the white. If they ever release gray ones, I'll buy those. I still like the PS1 look most of all.

This is a sports gaming site so I'm going to throw this question out to the hive mind. In their current state (updated, etc.), which sports game on the PS5 is the best? I need a sports game for my PS5 (typically play all the major 4 pro sports games along with others like soccer, F1, etc.) but in combing through the forums it seems so far in this generations life, the current offerings are all a mess and not really worth purchasing. Do I just hold off and continue to work through games like Deathloop, Returnal, and the PS4 games I never got to (Mass Effect, Doom Eternal) or is there one sports game that is worth buying at this point in the current year cycle?

What do you want out of a sports game? That would change my answer. Online player? Offline player?
