108 minutes...or 108 hours?

I'm not sure.

Replaying it back (tivo ) it goes from

2:35
m:ss

to

108:00 - which could either be
hmm:ss - (as in 1 hour 8 minutes) or
mmm:ss - (as in 108 minutes)

I don't think it is 108 hours though, seeing as the last digit was the minute digit when it was counting down.

It doesn't start counting down again though...or atleast we don't see it start counting down (but the camera was on it for like 5 seconds)

here's the problem...108 hours is over 4 days...which seems reasonable but it looked like he just finished setting it at the beginning of the first episode...so 108 mins seems to fit...but if he has to reset...what ever that is...every hour and a half...how does this guy sleep?

any thoughts on cloning? The shark...the polar bears...the "others" walking the way they did.

Yeah, 108 hours does make more sense. I don't really see how it wuold fit into the clock though (like i said earlier the 2 was the minute slot). And it showed him sleeping in the first episode, so I can't be every hour.

that's just the thing...it hasn't been 4 days since Jack and Locke blew the hatch...I think it might be 108 minutes.

and is the shark just another aspect of that security system? That shark seemed pretty interested in busting up that raft.

We (or atleast I) have no idea what it means.

Except that it seems to be counting down....and if it reaches 0 I bet something would happen....(In depth I know )

no clue....just mere speculation...hell we're still trying to figure out if its 108 hours or 108 minutes.

did you see the emblem on the shark near its tail fin? What was that about. I rewinded it to look at it again. My wife says it is an emblem she has seen on the hatch, I don't remember it. It was weird that it was on a shark though..

yeah...it appears to be the same logo...the "darhma" logo as Lost theorist are calling it.
